I listen to whatever metal sounds good. Old or new, though mostly i find myself listening to more prog metal these days.
It's just a bunch of noise. I just sport this sig 'cuz all the k00l kids are doing it.
.....but seriously, it's great. Best kind of music there is, imo.
Scraemo is punk not metal >.>I like it allalthough I don't really care for screamo or black metal

I agree mostly...but Grindcore is awesome:PMetal is godly except every genre that has core somewhere in it they are not godly

Amen to that. Goregrind fans have a saying: Gore, not core.
....and I agree with it
I never really cared much for any kind of metal ever. About the only artists that fit in the general realm of metal that I really liked were Opeth and Meshuggah. The last few weeks however I grew incredibly bored, and thus decided to give a new type of music a try. I decided to go all out and start with death metal. So far, I'm loving it immensely. I think it's my new favorite genre:P I look forward to exploring other sub-genres of metal in the future.
As long as it's not Metalcore or Post-hardcore, then I pretty much love it. :PBladeOfHeavenMetalcore is hardly metal, and post hardcore is not metal at all...:P

Way to stereotype I love when people bash music that they know nothing about LOLsatanic music IMO

I'm quite fond of a few bands, enjoy a couple of others from time to time, but dislike the genre as a whole. Most of it bores me.

satanic music IMO

I forgot to add that Jonascore is my favorite genre. It has the most br00tal breakdowns evar. Randy Rhodes has nothing on Nick Jonas! :P

Satanic? I don't remember Metallica singing about praising Satan in any of their songs, or Iron Maiden (okay, MAYBE Number of the Beast).satanic music IMO

Any flavour of metal can be good, but there is a lot of cheezy crap metal out there. One needs to employ their own aesthetic judgement on the matter.
Much metal gets lost in translation, especially Scandinavian/European bands that think singing in English will help their cause. They should stick to their native tongue- that way us Westerners will remain bemused and excited, and not think "what a load of crap!".
Well, being a big pop fan... (don't judge me, ) I do enjoy metal. Only one of my friends loves metal and he thinks that I don't like it and tries to turn it off, I told him it was fine... lol It's my so called other friends who think it's all about growling and Satan music. I have been recommended some bands here and there, but always open for more.
