I can't wait until we can use it to make clones of ourselves so I can have a fight to the death with my clone.
And then you'll just be able to repair any damage like *snaps fingers* that! Clearly this is the future of entertainment.I can't wait until we can use it to make clones of ourselves so I can have a fight to the death with my clone.

I am more than fine with it, as I can personally benefit from medical breakthroughs it may provide.
I hate how religion has any influence in whether this research is legal or not. It is ridiculous.
If they would just let the research progress they may not even need human embryos for long, I remember reading an article a year or two ago where a team of scientist working on this type of research discovered a way (based of of embryonic stem cell research) to harvest stem cells from adults...

Then I'll just clone the real me so I can fight my clone again using the clone of me from the real me because it works like that.

What if your clone clones his own clone to fight your cloned you?That process would take about 100 years so I think he's be fine. :P[QUOTE="THE_DRUGGIE"][QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"] What if the clone wins?:oCRS98

What if your clone clones his own clone to fight your cloned you? You can't clone a clone. That's just silly.[QUOTE="CRS98"][QUOTE="THE_DRUGGIE"]What if your clone clones his own clone to fight your cloned you? You can't clone a clone. Well if you have seen Multiplicity you would know it can be done but the results are not always top notch
I'm fine with it. If it can save lives, I can't understand why all those nut cases seem to hate it. MystikRex
Because people who follow a book based on nothing, written two thousand years ago by a group of cultist who influenced the poor in Rome into following them ultimately leading to a Christian majority in Rome and thus Constantine deciding that the only way to unite the Roman people would be to declare it the official religion of the state, forever dooming Western Civilization believe it is immoral.
Never mind the millions of people killed in the name of their god. A few human embryos is outrageous and murder and must be stopped.
Well that would make the fights possibly more entertaining....Well if you have seen Multiplicity you would know it can be done but the results are not always top notch

Just another reason why I'm not religious then. But staying on-topic...I am more than fine with it, as I can personally benefit from medical breakthroughs it may provide.

Adult stem cells can be harvested, but they're not as malleable, they're much more limited in what can be done with them. I'm all for stem cell research. Embryos are not people, and the embryos that these stem cells are harvested from would otherwise just be discarded anyway.
[QUOTE="clayron"][QUOTE="testfactor888"]
What is wrong with you? Seriously do you really need to act like that to peopletestfactor888
I believe that in order for people to be truly for or against it, they must first understand where stem cells come from. We have a few ways of harvesting stem cells, some more controversial than others.
It has immense potential that needs to be explored. To say that it's bad to use something that would have been put to waste to help future generations is moronic. I can't see an argument for the banning of it, especially considering that harvesting fetus matter isn't the only way.
