[QUOTE="indzman"][QUOTE="FMAB_GTO"]Well I can say that I belong to a religion,but I'm not THAT religious. I barely am actually.FMAB_GTO
Lots of young peeps are like you nowadays, its cool :)
Don't compare me to "nowadays young peeps" please >.> :3HeHe why not can i ask? =P
i guess semi-religious in a sense.
do the prayers, read the book on occasion, as well as different commentaries. read other religion's holy books on occasion as well.
but i'm not outwardly religious, don't sport a beard, would rather wear a casual t-shirt and jeans. i smoke once in a rare occasion, don't drink though, easily follow the one dietry law - no pig - which is easy enough to abide by. I'm likely to never bring up religion unless it's a special event or somehow the conversation enters the realm of religion, or someone simply outright asks me a question.
tend to really dislike preachy people, of any ideology really, religion (even my own), disbelief, political or social ideologies. I know the entire concept is trying to 'sell' someone on something, but i've heard most of it already. As the saying goes "there is nothing new under the sun". it's like that commercial that annoys you, except it's not 30 seconds, it could go on for fvcking hours.
being that i'm currently stuck in my parents house still sending out job applications, waiting for a reply, i am stuck listening to my mom playing imam's preaching about virtues and whatnot a lot. It's nothing i have not heard before, and it's often stuff i don't abide by because it's often ridiculous, i don't mean simply faith based things like God, Angels, acts of miracles, i'm talking behaviors and showing of devotion of faith.
I mean i know i've said i'm a huge history buff, and i am. but i know i've never said that i've actually quietly laughed at some of the conclusions Imam's come to when they bring history and faith in it. I've heard, on more then one occasion, how the reason the Islamic world has fallen is because we lost our faith or we don't have enough conviction. i still remember smirking and muttering "think the problem is we had too much conviction and let it blind us", and getting a "shame on you" muttered in Arabic from my father in response.
personally speaking i'd consider myself a weak theist still leaning on belief in aGod. I also most often tend to treat other people's beliefs or disbeliefs with apathy (Apatheism is the term). I tend to not care what you do or don't believe, but i do care what you do do with that belief or disbelief.
Religious.
Christian, specifically. I would say a devout Christian, but not in the sense of being a "door-to-door Jesus salesman" so much as that I am fully convinced that Christ's teachings hold value and are worth following, and I am certain that there is a God.
That said, I feel bad that at times "Christian" can seem a shameful moniker thanks to people such as the Westboro Baptist Church-goers.

I've been an atheist and agnostic, but now I'm a theist, even though I'm not THAT religious. But regardless, I'm happier with my beliefs more than I ever was before.

Personal experiences. They would likely be written off as the product of my own mind, and are ultimately useless as evidence. However, because of these aforementioned experiences I will always have a strong faith in what I believe. I have no objective evidence, if that's what you feel I've implied.
Also, to prematurely cut off any needless waste of time: Do you have an intended trajectory for this thread of discussion beyond calling me an idiot, sheep, or any other number of things? I'm asking in all honesty, just because that's (in OT, at least) where these talks tend to lead.
I've always been atheist.

religious people are theists as well,i just tried to be more specific. would say Deist, but that also matters if you believe God is acting it's will right now continously, or if you don't think it is. if you don't think God acts in the world as it stands now but still believe a diety created everything, then that would be deism.Theist I think.

there is also pantheism, panentheism (the one concept of God that makes the most sense to me at least so far), and pandeism. basically it breaks down like this:
pantheism: believes all things are God, material universe is not different or separate from God. God is identical to the Universe, one and the same.
panentheism: believes all things are interlaced with God but are still separate from God. (think of threads weaving into each other). or more generally, the universe is part of God but not the whole of God's being.
pandeism: God became the universe and ceased to exist a separate and conscious entity.

I was baptised as a baby. Though I've never thought anything of it.
I've found that a lot of catholics go through some of the motions but are minimally involved in the religion. Like a Catholic might go to confimation for the sake of being able to get married at church but forgo any further involvement after that. Stuff like that.I believe in God. In fact, in my eyes, I think it's obvious there has to be. The world didn't create itself, and I know for a fact a star exploding is not the reason for what we see all around us.

Stuff like that. From my understanding, I think that's what my parents have always been. According to the Australian consensus, I think they're Church of England or something like that (I never payed much attention). But they were never really anything more beyond that.
