Parents Let Kid Drop Out of High School to Focus on Guitar Hero

(Im guessing Highschool is America's College/University, so hold on a second, what's the big deal here! So he dropped out of Highschool and earned loads of money on Guitar Hero. Fantastic! Well played, he can go back and study later in life if he wants. Now he has the funding the pay his way through his education so he wouldn't have to work out any depts. Look at me! I had to leave college and never got to university as I needed to start work to earn money to live! So where's my tabloid! Not everyone gets to appreciate higher education!

Never-the-less. I would of of stayed in education giving the choice. But I don't think this is a big deal at all.

He's already made money using it. You do realise people carry on living after 19 you know? We can learn new skills, go places and meet people. True he could be doing more productive things with his time, and he better not spend too long faffing about with what he's doing. I can't say I support this decision, but it's not too late for him, not by a long way.

No, you can attempt to educate people but you can't make them intelligent. Besides... the public shouldn't be obligated to steer stupid people in the right direction, it's not their responsibility.

Well in a few years when he is packing bags at his local grocery store because that is the only job he can get, he'll look back on this moment in his life and realize "Wow I am a dumb ***."

They're going to be regretting that 10 years from now when he is living in their basement. Guitar Hero can't pay the rent.omfg_its_dally

Hopefully they will have their mortgage paid off by then so they won't need his rent money.

you know, ive been reading all of these comments on this. im surprised at how mean this world is.... sure it probably wasn't the best of ideas on his or his parent's side, but ITS THEIR LIVES TO WASTE. No one here needs to be such pampered idiots and start flaming people just because their life takes a different turn than yours.

On that note, if this works great. if it doesn't.. well at least he has some sort of an education. its very possible to make a living off of this. He even knows that he won't be able to sustain himself completely on this forever. He has plans to go into the gaming industry. Not just playing what they give you. Also Blake has already proven himself. He is currently already involved in the World Cyber Games, the largest gaming festival in the world. He won the regionals for the US with a pot of $15,000. The pot for the final is $25,000 and Blake has a real chance of winning it.

Blake is at least also a person who knows what he is going to do with his life. he is determined, and very talented. I'll be my 1.5k computer that more than half of the people who had just insulted Blake don't even know what their life is going to shape up to. Probably just trolling along with society and accepting everything the masses throw at you.

One more thing. The person who wrote this doesn't even have all of the facts. Everyone here is simply commenting on half information, and judging someone just because they are taking a different path in life.
