Poll: When is it okay to cheat on a partner?

Uh, I'm being very honest. Looks like you were counting on the immorality of others to ease your own personal guilt. Instead of trying to do that, be an adult and face that it's wrong.

Wrong, when I'm committed to someone, no one else has a chance. I have resisted and the easiest way is to stay out of situations. I'm 31 and the most I've ever cheated is kissing someone else and that's when I was 15. You should just admit that it's wrong and that you're responsible for your actions. Grow up.

You're not the only one amazed at the results. Statistically, a whole slew of the people that have voted "Never okay," will cheat themselves, one day. Either that, or the Gamespot user base is filled with some serious fidelity. :)

honestly...depends on the level of commitment. if you are in very serious relationship or married, then no it's NEVER ok to cheat. It'll only come back to bite you in the arse BIG TIME.

However if it's nothing serious, just a very casual relationship, then any of the reasons listed :P Play the field. Don't commit to nothing until your ready and with that...everything is fair game ;)

When the partner stops being your partner.
It takes five minutes to break off a relationship and start fresh. The only people who don't do that want to mooch off their current spouse or like the "rush" of cheating.

Never...is it ever...acceptable to cheat. And if you think it is, under any circumstances,you don't deserve to be with anybody.

if you're married, never ever ever ever.

But if you're dating, they don't own you, so you don't have to not go with another person.

But just make sure you end it with them afterwards-- don't you dare have 2 girls without both of them knowing.

My point is, if you're gunna cheat, make sure you tell your partner you met someone else afterwards.

Being completely incapable of loving another person i find it extremely easy to cheat with absolutely no guilt. If the one im with isnt giving me what i want and i express that, and they still dont give me what i want they really cant fault me for getting it elsewhere. Alter_Echo

If she expects commitment from you, she can certainly fault you, because if you're not getting what you need from a relationship, you don't string your partner along to exploit any benefits you may receive from the relationship while failing to meet the person's demands on you. You end it, or you learn to make do.

It's unfortunate that you are incapable of love. None of your relationships are going to last in the long run.

I've been cheated on five times--I know how it feels. I'm not the type to cheat, so if you cannot believe that, then maybe you should open yoru eyes and realize that not all people are asshats.

Depends on how deep a relationship you have with your wife/girlfriend. I've heard of the idea of a Celebrity Exemption list before, and that doesn't bother me in the slightest- when's the next time you think you'll have an opportunity to score with Natalie Portman, Boz? ;)f15srcool
