Heh, Scorpions, easily.

Whats most likely is that some (or many) people here have listened to Rock You Like A Hurricane, Still Loving You or Wind of Change.

But if someone has heard just these songs, then they dont know what Scorpions are like.

ArmoredCore55

I listen to them sometimes.

How old songs of them do you listen?

I mean do you listen to the 80's era songs (Love At First Sting & Blackout) or do you listen to their 70's stuff as well?

Because the Scorpions changed a lot after the 70's.

Horrific Death metal with lots of rock n roll, punk, and doom metal influences with an amazing b horror film vibe :P Their debut album is one of the most fun things I've ever listened to. Even if you don't like death metal, you'll still have fun listening to it Enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNctrrrVDiEJuggernaut140

Yea I love them, actually you were the one that introduced that band to me a while back along with Acid Witch (waiting for Midnight Mass...) :P. Thanks to that I learned about ****** Claws, Frightmare, Vacant Coffin, Decrepitaph, Blood Freak, and Festered.

But anyways I doubt I can post any unknow now that you and other metal experts showed up >_>.

So I'm just going to do a little spotlight:

Guthrie Govanother than AxeStrangler I haven't heard anyone mention this guy and he totally deserves more credit.

a "warr guitar". a combination of a bass and a guitar that you tap using both hands, tends to be 12 strings.

I always imagine Alkaline Trio were rather decently known. I see their logo all over the place, much like I see H.I.M's logo all the time.

yeah I know that's how it sounds to me as well:P Oddly I think everything in each of their projects (behold the arctopus, indrothere, blotted science, direwolf) is precise and structured, but I don't think I can explain how... it's REALLY over my head. I'm not extremely knowledgable with their theories or anything of that nature either but seeing their tapping/sweeping techniques alone blow me away live. the drummer of b...ta (who's in that blotted science) has drum teaching/tutorial videos and explains their timings/structure and such tho.

There are some things that I listen to that I'm sure people have heard of like the Fleet Foxes and Grizzly Bear, but most of my favorite stuff is more obscure than that. I don't expect anyone to like this stuff, but I will be sitting here knowing that my taste is better than yours.:P

Wesley Willis was amazing! I was really sad when he died.

I just found out about him just a couple of weeks ago. Now i understand he was more than a comedic musician , he showed me you made a real big accomplishment in music if you make people happy. Unlike a lot of bands i know that people listen to just to become depressed or the musicians are just in it for the money.

More:D Whoever knows any of these bands gets a tasty pie.

The Pale Saints

Film-Guy

Didn't post you whole list, but I know half these bands. I have never heard them, but this liberal rag I read in AZ, the NEW TIMES, has this terrible music section where the basically name drop a bunch of inde bands and act all ironic.

Where my pie?

There are some things that I listen to that I'm sure people have heard of like the Fleet Foxes and Grizzly Bear, but most of my favorite stuff is more obscure than that. I don't expect anyone to like this stuff, but I will be sitting here knowing that my taste is better than yours.:P

Weird War-"Grand Fraud"The song doesn't start for a few minutes, you can skip to it, as the music video itself isn't that good.

I was fairly disappointed with Bitte Orca. It got a lot of praise, and I really liked their single on Dark Was The Night, and I was hoping the album would be a lot more consistent than past efforts, but I got the same "some songs are rad-awesome" and "some songs are bad bad" conclusion as their other albums.
