lol another one stating lies about DF... they aren't sloppy,[QUOTE="Saturos3091"]
Probably because they can't write songs, Herman Li and Sam Totman are sloppy guitarists, and they edit their sound in the studio?
EDIT: Glitchspot strikes again. :evil:GTR2addict
Sure bud. For every "good" live performance you give me, I'll give you a laughable one. Dragonforce should stick to the studio, where they can make as many mistakes as they want.
Pretty much any band where the band members look like this.
It tends to say a lot about their music for some reason. Stereotypes are true in this case.
I'd post more but I'd rather not flood the thread.

True enough, my good friend was into them before the whole GH craze, (Huge Power Metal Fan).
Here's another controversial one. Just this particular member, although the band has some great albums (De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas).
Euronymous. Okay, sure he had a huge influence on the scene with his shop Helvete and his obsession with image, but that's the reason I strongly dislike him (despite him being a mediocre guitarist). He cared little for his bandmates, which was made quite apparent with Dead's suicide. Euronymous spread the news to make himself appear more evil than he actually was. Dead was rumored to have hated Euro anyway and Dead was definitely a hard person to get to know, so that might explain his lack of any feeling towards him, or it might be his "grim" outlook on everything. Euronymous' guitar skills weren't particularly impressive even in the relatively simple (technically speaking) BM genre, especially compared to the likes of musicians who would appear around the same time (Ihsahn is a good example). Musically Mayhem as a band is fine though, and they helped influence a lot of other bands (Immortal, Emperor, etc.). It's no wonder after Euro's death they stopped wearing corpsepaint, as the image was no longer important (and had been taken up by bands they deemed "unworthy").
Varg, Euronymous' murderer, seems far more true to his ideologies rather than the stupid image, which is quite apparent in his music as well.
Don't kill me....Opeth really is a love it or hate it kind of band. They're highly controversial because they get a lot of press and helped create the "progressive death metal" genre. I personally love them, but that's because I like progressive, experimental, and avant-garde music in general.kingkui

In other words, he deserved to get shanked? :P
I agree, god aweful band ;)
tee hee :o :P

Most certainly one of the most overrated bands though.
Alright, since people freaked out over Slayer (xD) I'll explain why I included those bands.
BrokeNCYDE: If you've heard ten seconds of one of their songs, you'll know where I'm coming from. If you haven't, let's just say that their genre is labelled as SCREAMO CRUNK. DO NOT ADJUST YOUR MONITOR, YOU HEARD THAT CORRECTLY. SCREAMO. CRUNK.
Fall Out Boy: I will give them some credit. They weren't bad in the underground, andmost songs onCork Tree, despite theself-indulgent lyrics, were at least listenable (and I will admit: I get some enjoyment out of Dance Dance *shot*). But their new stuff? ...no.
Slayer: Quite possibly the most overrated metal band ever. Yes, I like Megadeth, Anthrax, and Metallica. However, I nevercared for these guys at all. They just don't interest me.
Some bands for your face:
Jonas Brothers. I used to think they were the worst band ever until I listened to BrokeNCYDE. Does that make them suck any less? No.
Kasabian isn't TOO bad, but they try way too hard to be Oasis. And it's hard to love a bandwhen theywrite lyrics such as"Shoot the runner/shoot shoot the runner/'cause I'm the king/and she's my queen, b**ch!"
Metro Station... BLAAARRRGH! The only reason why this crappy fake scene band is popular is because the lead singer is Miley Cryus's brother.
[QUOTE="Darth-Caedus"][QUOTE="aaronmullan"]I hate threads like these :P It always brings fanboys out "HEY THAT BAND IS GREAT" Let someone have an opinion? aaronmullanThey can have an opinion, it just might happen to be wrong >.> Lies! No opinion is wrong.
Unless they like The Jonas Brothers. >_>
Yea, not a huge fan of Euronymous here either (obviously :P). I don't hate him or anything like that, but I never understood his fans and why they appreciate him much more than Varg. Here's another controversial one. Opeth really is a love it or hate it kind of band. They're highly controversial because they get a lot of press and helped create the "progressive death metal" genre. I personally love them, but that's because I like progressive, experimental, and avant-garde music in general. I'm different. I don't give a crap about whether the band I like gets all the attention (I love Mastodon), its just that Opeth doesn't impress me. Maybe if I hadn't saturated myself with all this music I had listened to, I would find Opeth stunning, but frankly I can't. But Still Life is a good listen.[QUOTE="kingkui"]Don't kill me....

Two things:Amon Amarth. Who is the only band I disagree with being on the list :PI agreed with your list for the most part. However, I had to clean bits of brain off my monitor when I saw Led Zeppelin on it.
Secondly, who are the last band?

Amon Amarth or something...they're really bad
I don't wanna waste a lot of time posting a ****-load of pictures, so I'll just say that I don't like pretty much any metal band. :P

I honestly don't understand how someone can like metal but dislike Led Zeppelin. That's like hating peanuts but loving peanut butter.:o

Well then, if no opinion is wrong, how could what he have just said be a lie, if he was stating his opinion?
That very fact contradicts the old "no opinion is wrong" saying. Some opinions ARE wrong because they were spit out without being given much thought or consideration.
