I really like the Solara. It's too bad Toyota stopped making them. Guess they were too sporty looking for your average Camry buyer. :P It is a nice little car![QUOTE="Suzy_Q_Kazoo"]
It was my sister's, but she got a "new" car and I was given this one to use.

2012 Chevy Malibu. Love it.

I'm not saying it's a bad car, but seriously? NOBODY loves a Malibu. They are incapable of producing an emotional response.

Who put the 350 in it? Have you ever had it dyno'd?
I bought it from a older cousin of mine. He had the 350 put in. Never been dyno'd as far as I know. It's also cammed with Flowmaster 40 series mufflers and no cat[QUOTE="Wasdie"]

Apparently you've never driven the new series. They are really nice. Lots to love.
I don't have the money to spend on a nice sports car and I found an amazing deal on a nearly new Malibu. So I bought that after I trashed my last car.
It's my first car that I bought with my own money, so maybe that has something to do with it.

My mom owns a 2011 or 2012 Malibu and it's a pretty awesome car to drive.[QUOTE="GioVela2010"][QUOTE="Shenmue_Jehuty"]Half these are BSthegergDoubt it scrub Some people are just haters. Just because they can't afford a nice car doesn't mean that others cant, and this makes them upset. "afford" thats not always the case. Some people get these cars from people who don't want them like me. My parents didn't want the suv anymore and they gave it to me and I'm stuck with it.
[QUOTE="rawsavon"]she got tired of the bmw so you bought her a honda :hm: she did not want the maintenance costs + paying for premium gas, etc she still wanted leather, sun roof etc...so I got those Honda has more room as well. And I got .9%...total finance costs are going to be less $400 on 10k financed over 5 years...free money, basically She does miss the 'drivability' of the BMW though (weave through traffic like nobody's business)Jandurin
[QUOTE="Wasdie"]I don't have the money to spend on a nice sports car and I found an amazing deal on a nearly new Malibu. rawsavonhow much did you spend on your malibu...year...miles?
About 19k and it had 2700 miles on it and it's a 2012. The previous owner only put 2700 miles on it and owned it for a whole 2 months before trading it in for something. There is nothing wrong with the car at all. Maybe he just didn't like it.
I can't have some small sports car in Wisconsin, it wouldn't last the winters well. Even worse, I'm only 23 so insurance would be insanely high. To make matters worse, I'm still paying off about 22k of school debt and I live alone so my rent is a bit higher.

i don't think he was judging you, wasd malibu is an okay choice except that buying american is still a pretty poor choice in this day and age[QUOTE="Fightingfan"]I kinda want a hybrid, I hate going to the gas station everyday in the Mustang, and every week in the Civic >.>spazzx625Yeah, I'm getting 49mpg right now. Haven't had a single fill-up cost more than $27 either. Love it.
What it costs you to fill up means nothing. It just means you have a small gas tank.
lolI got tired of two corvettes and a G35 so I got a cheap Nissan truck. It's not uncommon.

That's not true at all. I would agree that 5-6 years ago American cars were a poor choice, but since the car companies collapse they've been really rebuilding each of their lines into some pretty impressive cars. I see dozens of 2011-2012 Malibus and Impalas around here. They are very solidly built cars.
There is a good reason why all of the major auto manufacturers have been posting profits. They are finally making good cars that don't die after 20k miles.
