lol, what?

Pirate700
exactly

There is a good reason why all of the major auto manufacturers have been posting profits. They are finally making good cars that don't die after 20k miles.

Wasdie
i will believe that in 5-6 years when the current gen cars start getting to 100k + miles and we see if the engines/auxiliary systems start breaking down as is so common in american POS cars.

I guess only time will tell.

I will say that my car was extremely good value for the money.

I've had three American cars. While they were at the dealership more than my driveway, they never had engine issues.

i usually figure $1k a year or 10k miles as being a good value for a car so for it to be a good value it's gotta last with little need of repairs for 15 years or 150k or so miles unless you sell it

Some people are just haters. Just because they can't afford a nice car doesn't mean that others cant, and this makes them upset.

"afford" thats not always the case. Some people get these cars from people who don't want them like me. My parents didn't want the suv anymore and they gave it to me and I'm stuck with it.

Oh you poor thing. Mommy and Daddy GAVE you a new car and you're mad. Stop b*tching.

Nope. With my Mustang the wheel snapped off the axle though and was just hanging on wobbly and loose and almost killed me though.

idk what this argument is about but i agree with spartan in this case my parents gave me a pink ("raspberry frost") 1996 Cavalier LS with 90k miles on it and i was happy that i didn't have to go get my own car at the time

Then on that same mustang, my power steering wen't out. The dealer fixed it and on the drive home the power steering blew out again. My friend had a year newer mustang and his brakes crumbled on him and the brackets that hold the driver seat together snapped in half. Mustangs are some of the biggest POS cars ever built.

Yeah. '98 model purchased in Dec'97 Has less than 110k miles Water pump went out and had a relay go out...not very expensive Other than that, there was an axle/shaft issue that was my fault (wreck)...but no other problems besides normal maintenance. I have taken good care of it (or tried to). When it starts having major problems though, I will just give it away...served its purpose

she likes it quite a bit Plus side: +leather, comfortable seats +sunroof +satellite radio +lots of room +good gas mileage +looks Cons: -Not as nimble as BMW -Not as quick/fast as BMW -Can feel your speed more...70mph feels like 70mph (whereas 100 feels like 70 in a BMW)

The choice is easy out of those. Civic. The fit is just a micomachine and Mazda's have the lowest costumer satisfaction. Civics are good cars.

My only problem with civics are they are wildly overpriced. For the price of a Civic SI you can get a BMW 3 series or Audi a4 or the like.

True but in the Civics category, I'd much rather have a Carolla for much less.

I am leaning towards the Civic as well. It has more km's on it than the other cars. The fit is priced quite lower for lower km's at the retailer so I am interested to test drive it and see how it compares with the Civic.

It is a much better car for her and better looking and more luxurious (I agree). But the civic si would be more 'fun' for me to drive

[QUOTE="Jandurin"]shutup wasdie also hi giovela i thought you were dead in a bmw related car accident

Lol nah man I was just banned for really stupid reasons. I remember one suspension was for saying "stop trolling" to a blatant troll, and another one was for replying with "no you leave" to somebody who said "gtfo of system wars". And in both cases the person I was arguing with didn't receive any type of infraction.

[QUOTE="rawsavon"][QUOTE="musicalmac"] That may be the worst American car ever produced.

Ever.scoots9

given that it is not a pontiac, I am inclined to disagree

What do you have against Pontiacs? Sure, they had some bad cars but most of them were equal to their rebadged chevy cousins. Unless you mean the Aztec that is. And I'm not just defending Pontiac becuase I drive one :P

Pontiac was like Chevy's little brother. They seriously had the same cars with slightly different styles n names. Love my GTP Daytona edition grand prix :) its one of a kind and you never see them.
