I managed to find more of Ted's Cavers journel! Here it is guys 'n girls! Make sure you read the first parts at http://www.angelfire.com/trek/caver/index.html before.

The first half of the journey towards Floyd's Tomb passed in eerie silence. Joe didn't say much, and B was too juiced up on Prozac with his eyes on the road. And so it was down to me to break the ice. I decided it was time to question Joe about his experience in the cave, I asked him if he heard any strange sounds, seen anything, did the round boulder move? He wondered what I was going on about, turned out that while he was in the cave he had a text that his dog had died.

At last we arrived to the cave. Our climb down to the passage took a little longer then ever since we had all those guns and explosives to carry down. At one point B slipped and his Ak47 let off a few rounds, lucky no one was wounded, save for me, who was grating my chest down the jagged edges of the cliff because I love it. Once we got down the passage we were back at Floyds tomb once again.

I decided to let Joe go first, because I knew him the least. Borris J' Smith, urm I mean B had lost a lot of weight so he was now able to squeeze up behind me. I couldn't believe how easy Joe slipped through the passage, then I realised he was smothered head to toe in Vaseline. Clever trick. I was using the same 'slide my face across the hard rock while banging my head up and down on the ceiling tactic I always used.

Things were going pretty good until we reached the round rock. Once again I got a strange feeling, then I realised I had brought those jeans were the flies kept undoing themselves. We noticed the boulder had already been moved and the mysterious passage was revealed. A gust of wind suddenly filled our nostrils with that god awful stench again, it was worse then a tramps nut sack.

We ordered Joe to go first, he refused, but my firearm and B's Ak told him otherwise. Reluctantly he began to creep down the narrow passage. What happened then will haunt us for the rest of our lives, well mine and B's anyway. Because Joes face got eaten so he probably won't be all that bothered.

That's all I got sorry, I'm trying to find the rest of it but it's confidential stuff.

God, I still remember the night I read that caver story...by the end my nerves were absolutely shot. I had to take little breaks in between reading, I was scared ****less. Brilliant story nonetheless, and the ending was a great touch

So everyone here is afraid of mirrors right? Like when it's dark and you walk past the mirror, making sure not to look at it in case something might be looking back... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIGxKY5y6Mg

"Have you ever just stared into the woods in the dead of night? What is it about their almost infinite black that keeps us looking? We stare securely from an open space, a beaten path or road maybe, into an endless sea of trees. I have always been convinced that there was much more to this than a creepy feeling. If it's just because it's dark outside, then why aren't we afraid we afraid of just about anything else at night? Certainly there are more dangerous places than woods, but then why would you much rather go there than the woods? It also can't be chalked up to dangerous animals. Then we would be just as scared during the day. And honestly, you aren't think about bears when your looking into that abyss.

It just doesn't add up. This fear is most illogical thing that I believe we all share in our psyche. There's just something in us, deep down whispering danger. I say whispering because I believe you all share with me some desire, to just run out there in some kind of ironman suit and confront what's so patiently waiting for us. We owe it something for staying there. Some times I wonder if it stares back in the same way, flirting with the idea of breaking the rules."

This could be a great thread, if everyone paricipated. I'll try to get the ball rolling...

A man went to a hotel and walked up to the front desk to check in. The woman at the desk gave him his key and told him that on the way to his room, there was a door with no number that was locked and no one was allowed in there. Especially no one should look inside the room, under any circumstances. So he followed the instructions of the woman at the front desk, going straight to his room, and going to bed.

The next night his curiosity would not leave him alone about the room with no number on the door. He walked down the hall to the door and tried the handle. Sure enough it was locked. He bent down and looked through the wide keyhole. Cold air passed through it, chilling his eye. What he saw was a hotel bedroom, like his, and in the corner was a woman whose skin was completely white. She was leaning her head against the wall, facing away from the door. He stared in confusion for a while. He almost knocked on the door, out of curiosity, but decided not to.

This disinclination saved his life. He crept away from the door and walked back to his room. The next day, he returned to the door and looked through the wide keyhole. This time, all he saw was redness. He couldn't make anything out besides a distinct red color, unmoving. Perhaps the inhabitants of the room knew he was spying the night before, and had blocked the keyhole with something red.

At this point he decided to consult the woman at the front desk for more information. She sighed and said, "Did you look through the keyhole?" The man told her that he had and she said, "Well, I might as well tell you the story. A long time ago, a man murdered his wife in that room, and her ghost haunts it. But these people were not ordinary. They were white all over, except for their eyes, which were red."

A young girl is left home alone with only her dog to protect her. When night approaches, she locks all the doors and tries to lock all the windows but one won't close.

She decides to leave it unlocked and goes to bed. Her dog takes its customary place under her bed.

In the deep of night she awakens to a dripping sound coming from the bathroom. The girl is too scared to go check so she reaches her hand under the bed. She feels a reassuring lick from her dog and falls back to sleep. She reawakens to the dripping sound, reaches her hand down to the dog where she feels the reassuring lick and falls back to sleep. Once more she awakens to the dripping sound. She reaches her hand down and feels the lick of her dog.

Now curious about the dripping sound, she gets up and slowly walks towards the bathroom, the dripping sound getting louder as she approaches. She reaches the bathroom and turns on the light. She is greeted by a horrific sight; hanging from the shower nozzle is her dog with its throat slit open and its blood dripping into the bathtub.

Something on the bathroom mirror catches her eye she turns around. Written on the bathroom mirror in her dog's blood are the words "HUMANS CAN LICK TOO".

I found this True Shorty Story from a website.. I don't know if you'll find this crep,y buty I kinda' did..

Here goes..

"There's a bridge called "Covert's Crossing" or "Covert's Bridge" up in New Castle. A young couple had gotten married on Halloween. Around midnight, they were riding in a horse drawn carriage across the bridge at the same time a car was. The bridge was only one lane, so by the time they saw each other it was too late. Story has it that they crashed and the hubcap of the car flew off, decapitating the bride. The police never found her head or the body of the groom. Its been said that if you sit on the bridge on Halloween night around midnight, you can see the headless bride standing on some rocks in the river. However they don't know if she is looking for her head or her lost love. Submitted by Courtnie"

This has happened to my eldest brother when he was about 3 years old I guess.. yeah.. a TRUE INCIDENT!

My eldest brother was the only son of my parents when he was about 3 years old.. They lived in an area in Saudi Arabia (We are still in Saudi Arabia).. I don't really remember the name of that area but yeah, it still exists..

My brother always used to roam around the house because he had no siblings to play with.. he used to look at the balcony standing far away from it.. Suddenly, he used to start crying out loud as if he was very scared and worried. He used to tell my parents that he always saw someone standing there and staring at my brother!! My parents said it was nothing and he should forget about it, but then my brother started to hear some kinda sounds too while he used to see that "someone" staring at him.. he kept on crying almost everyday, then one day my parents realized that there was something strange going on in that house and shifted to another area..

Creepy right? I know.. aww my poor brother >.

"The Closet..

Open your closet, don't turn on the light. Make sure you have one match with you. Step inside and close the door. If the lights outside of the closet are on, this will not work. Nor will it work if it is daylight. The only room you need is enough for slight mobility.

Stand in the darkness for about two minutes, since that's all that's needed. Now, take the match and hold it in front of you and say, "Show me the light or leave me in darkness." If you begin hearing whispers light the match immediately. If you don't hear anything, and the match doesn't ignite on it's own then don't turn around. If you light the match too late or not at all after hearing whispers, something will grab you from behind and pull you into what seems like a forever fall into darkness.

If you do manage to light the match in time and nothing happens after, open the door slowly and get out, then close the door but do NOT look inside. From then on, never look inside your closet without the light on at all. Some say if you leave your closet open during the night you can see the demon watching you with two red eyes that glow like matches."

Yesterday, after reading a bunch of scary stories from this thread, I went to sleep.. and guess what? This story about the closet was one of the stories I didn't read.. and yeah, I didnt know anything about this, and mymom was taking out some stuff from the closet while I was getting ready to sleep.. she left the doors of the closet open. On the closet doors, my dad has pinned a hanger kinda thing where my mom has kept some belts..hanging..

I wasn't sleepy at-all. so I dont know why, I started staring at the closet for a while.. and suddenly, I got a creepy feeling that something standing with the closet door is staring back at me.. But I didn't quit.. I was staring back.. then again, I felt something is staring harder.. that's when I got scared.. real scared.. and took my blanket over me.. Thank God my brother woke up at that time to drink water.. But when he moved from his bed, I didn't know it was him because I had the blanket all over me.. so I decided to take a peak out of the blanket.. I did, and it was my brother, he was looking very sleepy.. and I was like "... 0_0..." and I just threw away the blanket. and sighed. And I never looked back at the door of the closet and slept. It's still open now, and I just read this story now.. OMG am I scared or what.. I won't close the closet door now.. It's still open.. my computer is at the front of the closet.. Im looking back again and again.. and my brother's listening to music in the other room with some scary music in it.. lol.

I'm still alive! I was about to post but I just received a phonecall from my deceased brother asking me to log into Age of Conan! Omg!! But seriously, I like to hear about peoples creepy stories. Those moments where you get a sudden feeling of not wanting to be in a room alone anymore, you gotta get down the stairs fast, no time to wash your hands. Don't look in the landing mirror on the way down, what the... The towel just fell off the rail, don't look back, keep going down the stairs. Just don't look back.

By the way that picture before my post. If she has run out of sanitation products she shouldn't be shy to ask i'm sure someone would be so kind.

There was a babysitter who took care of the kids while their parents were out. When the kids went to bed in their room on first floor, she(babysitter)went to ground floor to watch TV.Soon after the phone rang. She was expecting to hear parents checking on the kids but instead she heard someone with a deep, scary voice saying her: did you check on the kids? She lol'd thinking it was her friend doing a bad immitation of Darth Vader trying to scare her.The person hanged up.After that there were 3 more calls. She was really scared and called police. The 5-0 told her they will track the phone call when the person calls again. After the person called again, police called her and said not to worry, the police will arrive shortly but the call is coming from upstairs and that she better gets out.She ran out in tears. When the police arrived they found the three kids with their throats slit and the murderer who waited for the babysitter to check on the kids to kill her was never found. I'm sorry if this story has been written before,I didn't read all of the posts in this topic.

Last year I was on a plane and 2 things creeped me out:

  1. Before takeoff, The Postal Service's "Such Great Heights" was playing on the radio.
  2. During flight, I was playing Trauma Center on my DS and I was up to Operation No. 16, Miracle at 9,800ft.
I was convinced I was gonna die.

i know a lot of creepy stories here is some:

1: it was the night of the school play, of course i always arrive late( i am an actor) and saw two of my friends with pale faces i just asked them what's the matter of course this wasn't our first play but they looked pretty scared and told me that:

they went upstairs just to check the classrooms and hang out a while, but when they reached the hallway they saw a long man with shagy hair and glowing red eyes was laughing of course they ran away they told the teacher who told them not to go at night again.

2:i was in my room doing nothing but nothing and suddenly i heared a scream, i didn't really care i thought it was the neighbours, at night dad told me to run the car outside and wait for him because he lost the remote and can't open it, so i stayed with the windws open it was a pretty hot day, suddenly i heared the pretty same scream, now i was really creeped out, after then i went upstairs and went to my room and didn't light it because the window was opened( people could see from outside the window if the lights were on) and when i just was going to light it i heared the same scream i looked at the window it was closed and there was noway i hear someone even if he was next to the window......

3: there was a group of people went to a an old fashiond jappenese hotel which was once a house for a rich family, their room was the last in the hallway but when they were about to sleep they heared knocking and scratching from the wall. they informed the hotel recpitionist and told them that this house was for a rich family and they closed the hallway on the last room for an unknown reason, they destroyed that wall and saw a door closed by wood, they broke in and saw the room in chaos, on the wall was writting in red" father let me out here" they knew from the smell that the writting was by blood

4: there was someone waiting for a train next to him a pale women wearing a red old dress with uncombed hair and dirty make-up staring at nothing, he just looked at her and thought that she could be a ghost or somethig like it, suddenly the women gazed at him wth horror and said" how did you know??"

5: there was someone who just moved in to a faraway city in a faraway apartment building which was empty because it's far too far, there was only one neighbour for him, sadly he never seen his neighbours, he wakes early to reach to his work in time and returnes late, everyday at 1 to 2 a.m. he heares his neighbour's baby cying, that went for years and he still heares the baby crying, he had enough, didn't that baby grow? so he told his landlord about the baby and the landlord looked at him at surprise " but the neighbours don't have a baby!" and that man kept hearing the baby cries.

if you sleep i am gonna suicide and haunt you forever

If you are watching television, and the signal cuts out to static, turn the TV off immediately. If you watch the static on TV for long enough, the static will suddenly pause. All sound in the room will cease; even the white noise of the TV itself will disappear. If this happens you must not look away from the screen. You will probably not notice at the time, before you lose your gaze on the TV, your body will freeze as well. Time around and with you have paused completely. Specks of the black and white dots slowly come to life, creeping slowly in seemingly random directions. Not static as you know it, but organizing themselves into a moving picture again in front of you. As the static returns to normal, and the white noise of the TV comes back, you will regain control of your body. You must never watch that television again. It will only play static, even when unplugged. If you watch the static any longer, these same events will reoccur, but with disastrous results. What exactly happens is unknown, as it is obvious that anyone that has been unfortunate enough to experience this has disappeared. It is rumored that if one continues to watch the static again, or during their experience, looks away, the white and black specs will slowly start to move again, but you will not. Your eyes will then be permanently fixated on the screen as you watch the picture come back to life, and what seems to be your station's signal return. You learn soon this is not the case, as all sound is still absent, and the picture on the TV shows a familiar surrounding: the room in which you sit. The only thing you see next is movement on the TV, as you see yourself from behind, and subsequently, the cause of your disappearance.

All mirrors are actually windows to another world. This world cannot be reached, and shouldn't be reached, as all our mirror-selves are extremely malicious. Try watching the edge of the mirror after sneaking into a room. The images we see in the mirror are the pure incarnates of evil. They are only allowed to exist in the area reflected in the glass. They only come to exist, though, once a person has gazed into them. To them, life is like a never-ending hell, rotting away in the same room day after day. The only release from this purgatory is death, and the only way for them to die, is if you die. They are bound by a code, though. You are their master, and they must mirror your every movement and expression. To do otherwise would break an unbreakable law, unraveling existence. However, there is a loophole, and it can only be triggered by you. To force them into error is to free them from their contract; by letting them out of your view. Know this: when you watch them, they're watching you back. They're watching. And they're thinking. There was a time, though, when things weren't always like this...

i'll never look at a mirror again neither will i sleep, i need the toilet badly and i am so afraid to go alone, and today my brother (the roommate) had to go outside the town for claiming a prize. and guess what, it was supposed to be a week ago but they had to make this week and make it this day, and it's the same day that i started reading, THEY had to get rid of him to kill me! if i didn't post by tommorow it's all your fault because what really atractts THEM is the scared heartes and GHOST STORIES.

so before i die i will say this:

a boy hurt his head at school so he stayed at the nurse room, the nurse left him for nature calls, then a boy looked from the opened window and started a conversation with him like normal people, the boy said that he had to leave now and went away in the same momment the nurse came, when he got out the nurse shouted from the window and told him not to forget about the medicine, when he looked back he gasped at horror, the window was upstairs on the third floor with no possible feethold, so how the hell did the boy stand ?

by the way i am really creeped out i feel that something is grabbing my feet and i always carry them up because i am afraid something will grab me and suck me under the table, bed, chair, and i won't watch TV either. of course i know alot of spooky scary stories that made me unable to sleep because every time i close my eyes in the darkness i see things, a lot of things and i had a tough experince with it especally when i was a kid, still i don't wanna remmember any of the scary stiories i know because i really get scared and i locked up all of the scary things in my mind and i just can't take them out and i feel that my whole brain stops me honestly.

i just hate myself because i know alot and feares more, we should post about alien stories as well.

Creepy Facts!!!

1. If the flame of a candle flickers and then turns blue, there's a spirit in the room.

2. If a bird flies through your house, it indicates important news. If it can't get out, the news will be death.

3. If you feel a chill up your spine, someone is walking on your future grave.

4. A bat in the house is a sign of death.

5. If a person experiences great horror, their hair turns white.

The one that creeped me out So-Bad..

6.Every time you exhale, a little bit of your soul escapes. Luckily, you almost always inhale it back before anyone else gets to it. Almost.

...Ever fogged up a mirror with your breath? Don't do that.

The Golden Hand
retold by
S. E. Schlosser

He never paid much attention to the neighbors living on his city block until the day the pretty middle-aged widow moved in two doors down from him. She was plump and dark with sparkling eyes, and she always wore dark gloves on her hands, even indoors. He went out of his way to meet her, and they often "bumped" into each other in the street and stood talking. One day, as she brushed the hair back from her forehead, he caught a glimpse of gold under the glove on her right arm. When he asked her about it, she grinned coquettishly and told him that she had lost one hand a few years back and now wore a golden hand in its place. In that moment, a terrible lust woke in his heart - not to possess the lady herself, but to possess the solid gold hand that she wore under her long black gloves. He courted the widow with every stratagem known to him; flowers, trips to the theater, gifts, compliments. And he won her heart. Within a month, they were standing in front of a minister, promising to love one another until death parted them. Within another month, he was a widower and had buried his ailing wife in the local cemetery - without her golden hand. It had been so easy. A slow poison, administered daily to resemble a wasting disease. No one - not his wife, not the family doctor, not their neighbors - suspected murder. And the night after the funeral, he slept with the golden hand under his pillow. It was a dark night. Clouds covered the moon, and the wind was whistling down the chimney and rattling the shutters of the town house. He was deeply asleep when the door to his room slammed open with a loud bang and a wild wind whipped around the room, scattering papers and books and clothing and table coverings every which way. He sat up, startled by the sudden noise, and his pulse began to pound when he saw a greenish-white light bobbing slowly into the room. Before his eyes, the light slowly grew larger, taking on the shape of his dead wife. She was missing one arm. "Where is my golden hand?" she moaned, her dark eyes blazing with red fire. "Give me my golden hand!" He tried to speak, but his mouth was so dry with fear that he could only make soft gasping noises. The glowing phantom moved closer to him, her once-lovely face twisted into a hideous green mask. "You stole my life and you stole my hand. Give me back my golden hand!" the dead wife howled. The noise rose higher and higher, and the phantom pulsed with a strident green light that smote his eyes, making them water. He cowered back against his pillows, and the hard shape of the golden hand pressed against his back. And then he felt the golden hand twitch underneath him as the mangled green phantom that had been his wife swooped down upon him, pressing his face against the pillow in a suffocating green cloud. He tried to scream, but it was cut off suddenly by a terrible pressure against his throat, cutting off his breath. The world went black. The next morning, when the housemaid came into the room with her master's morning cup of tea, she found him lying dead on the floor, with the golden hand clutched around his throat.

The Hairy Toe
retold by
S. E. Schlosser

Once there was an old woman who went out in the woods to dig up some roots to cook for dinner. She spotted something funny sticking out of the leaves and dug around until she uncovered a great big hairy toe. There was some good meat on that toe which would make a real tasty dinner, so the old woman put it in her basket and took it home. When she got back to her cottage, the old woman boiled up a kettle-full of hairy toe soup, which she ate for dinner that night. It was the best meal she'd had in weeks! The old woman went to bed that night with a full stomach and a big smile. Along about midnight, a cold wind started blowing in the tops of the trees around the old woman's house. A large black cloud crept over the moon and from the woods a hollow voice rumbled: "Hairy toe! Hairy toe! I want my hairy toe!" Inside the house, the old woman stirred uneasily in her bed and nervously pulled the covers up over her ears. From the woods there came a stomp-stomp-stomping noise as the wind whistled and jerked at the treetops. In the clearing at the edge of the forest, a hollow voice said: "Hairy toe! Hairy toe! I want my hairy toe!" Inside the house, the old woman shuddered and turned over in her sleep. A stomp, stomp, stomping sound came from the garden path outside the cottage. The night creatures shivered in their burrows as a hollow voice howled: "Hairy toe! Hairy toe! I want my hairy toe!" Inside the house, the old woman snapped awake. Her whole body shook with fright as she listened to the angry howling in her garden. Jumping out of bed, she ran to the door and barred it. Once the cottage was secure, she lay back down to sleep. Suddenly, the front door of the cottage burst open with a bang, snapping the bar in two and sending it flying into the corners of the room. There came the stomp, stomp, stomping noise of giant feet walking up the stairs. Peeping out from under the covers, the old woman saw a massive figure filling her doorway. It said: "Hairy toe! Hairy toe! I want my hairy toe!" The old woman sat bolt upright in terror and shouted: "I ATE your hairy toe!" "Yes, you did," the giant figure said very gently as it advanced into the room. No one living in the region ever saw the old woman again. The only clue to her disappearance was a giant footprint a neighbor found pressed deep into the loose soil of the meadow beside the house. The footprint was missing the left big toe.

The Bloodstain
retold by
S. E. Schlosser

The Phelps place was an old, abandoned property with a monstrous, decrepit Victorian house that was supposed to be haunted. It should have been a good resting place for the local deer hunters, but they would not go near it. A few that tried came away before midnight with tales of ghostly thumping noises, gasps, moans, and a terrible wet bloodstain that appeared on the floor of the front porch and could not be wiped away. Phelps was an Englishman who had purchased land some 20 miles off the Mendocino coast in the 1880s. He had built a huge, fancy Victorian house all covered with gingerbread trimmings and surrounded by lovely gardens. When everything was arranged to his liking, he sent out party invitations to everyone within messenger range. It was the biggest social event of the year, with music and dancing and huge amounts of food. Sawhorse tables were set up with refreshments, and drinks were set out on the front porch. People came from miles around. The only one missing was old man McInturf's son-in-law. They had had a terrible fight that afternoon, and the boy had stalked off in a rage, threatening to get even with the old man. Around midnight, the musicians took a recess and old man McInturf went out on the front porch with some friends. Suddenly there came the thunder of hooves rushing up the lane. A cloaked figure rode towards the lantern-lit porch. McInturf put down his drink. "That will be my son-in-law," he told his friends as he went down the steps. The cloaked figure stopped his horse just outside the pool of lantern-light. There was a sharp movement and two loud shots from a gun. Old man McInturf staggered backwards, shot in the throat and the chest. The cloaked man wheeled his horse and fled down the lane as friends ran to the assistance of the old man. They laid McInturf down on the porch. He was bleeding heavily and they were afraid to move him much. There was some talk of fetching the doctor, but everyone knew it was too late. So much blood was pouring from the old man's wounds that it formed a pool underneath his head. McInturf coughed, once, twice; a hideous, gurgling, strangling sound that wrenched at the hearts of all who heard it. Then he died. McInturf's body was laid out on the sofa, and the once-merry guests left in stricken silence. The servants came and wiped the red-brown bloodstain off the floorboards. The next day, a wagon was brought to the front of the house and McInturf's body was carried out onto the porch. As the men stepped across the place where McInturf had died, blood began to pool around their boots, forming a wet stain in exactly the pattern that had been wiped up by the servants the night before. The men gasped in fear. One of them staggered and almost dropped the body. They hurriedly laid McInturf in the back of the wagon, and a pale Phelps ordered the servants to clean up the fresh bloodstain. From that day forward, the Phelps could not keep that part of the porch clean. Every few weeks, the damp bloodstain would reappear. They tried repainting the porch a few times, but the bloodstain would always leak through. In the county jail, McInturf's son-in-law died of a blood clot in the brain. A few months later, one of the Phelps servants went mad after seeing a "terrible sight" that made his head feel like it was going to exploded. Folks started saying the house was being haunted by the ghost of McInturf, seeking revenge. The property was resold several times but each resident was driven out by the terrible, gasping ghost of McInturf reliving his last

This happened to me about three weeks ago....

One night right after falling asleep i woke up, and i looked at the clock, got up went to the bathroom and went back to bed. When i was about to fall asleep for what ever reason i opened up my eyes, and saw this black silhouette of a man standing in front of my door, i tried to move but couldn't, i even tried to scream, but couldn't. About 30 sec after seeing this blurry image i blacked out. When i woke up i was laying on the couch in my living room (not my bedroom.) it was crazy. I was like how the h*ll did i end up here. I have never sleep walked before, i hope this never happens again.

Well after some research this it seems like a case of sleep paralysis...

Good anecdotes are hard to find. Most of them are something along the lines of 'omg i saw a gh0st and i waz scared!!!"
