Yeah, but I'm scared that it might not be her period, as it was early, and might just be spotting. However I feel comfort in the fact that these symptoms are also common side effects of taking Plan B, not taking any chances though going to get that PT as soon as we can take it.Its not even about using a condom, If you don't wanna use one then atleast shoot in her mouth or summin, this is common sense I don't understand why people haven't been educated about this. Fair enough if its a poor country but in a well developed country? Naaaaa

uuuuhhhh, you do know you can get a girl pregnant before ejaculation? Your penis creates a lubrificant that makes the penetration easier and that can contain sperm
Stop worrying so much about it. Hormones do some messed up things to your body including all kinds of irregular crap. Believe me, I've been there.
MOST COMMON PLAN B SIDE EFFECTS
- Nausea: 14 to 23% of women
- Vomiting: About 6% of women
- Irregular menstrual bleeding: Some women may experience spotting after taking plan B. The majority of women will have their next menstrual period at the expected time or early. When plan B is used repeatedly (more than once within a menstrual cycle, or more than occasional once-a-month use), menstrual changes may occur, including a shorter or longer cycle and a heavier or lighter period
LESS COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
Breast tenderness, headache, dizziness, fatigue, lower abdominal pain, and diarrhea. If the symptoms continue for more than 48 hours or are severe, see your health professional.

Sounds like you already know about them, so just chill. It's unlikely she's pregnant.

and there is also pre-ejaculation. I say ejaculation because I'm not sure I can say cum.[QUOTE="ThisIsTwoFace"]

YeapHow old are you and your girlfriend? Do you live independently or with your parents? Also where do you live (city and state).First off, I realize this is such an odd place to post this (Trying to get everyones opinion), but to anyone whose had experience with this type of thing I have a few questions. Me and my girlfriend are worried that she might be pregnant, we had unprotected sex about a week ago we used plan B the next day (Dumb move I know, wasn't planned). Now she thinks shes had her period, but its lighter than usual, and her breasts are tender moreso than usual. These are common symptoms of pregnancy, but I was wondering if it was possible for these symptoms to appear anyways without neccesarily being pregnant. Any tips, suggestions would be great, this type of thing is just extremely scary as both our families would look poorly at us (to put it lightly).
Please, be patient with me, I know I made a stupid mistake and would like some knowledge from the more experienced.lil_zelda_dude
I've never had 'the scare". Were both 18 and living with our parents, of course we just graduated though. Were going to the same community college for Gen Eds and then from there we have different colleges in mind. This community college would have us living with our parents still. A baby obviously would complicate these plans.[QUOTE="poptart"]
Kids eh! We've all had 'the scare' at least once or twice - if she's on the blob that's a good sign. Don't worry about it. And what's plan be? Coat hanger?

Actually that depends on the method used to time it. If you're just going by "last month she had her period on the 18th so this month she'll have it on the 18th" that is not very accurate because many women have irregular cycles. Also there is a time window of about 5 days before the period where she can later on get pregnant since the sperm can stay in her system for a few days and if she ovulates while they are there there is a decent chance of fertilization, fertilization that occurs in this fashion is more likely to produce a girl since female-producing sperm (those carrying an X chromosome) last a bit longer. Timing a woman's cycle using indicators such as her cervical mucus and her basal metabolic rate are actually quite accurate. The chance of getting pregnant from a one time encounter isnt tremendously high, but it just depends on what part of her cycle she was in. It's usually only a few days a month that a woman can get pregnant, but it's not very reliable to try and time it.

if you took the plan B the very next day or in within a couple of hours of intercourse then your good if not then its up in the air, you need to go get that pregnancy test just to make sure.

He needs to do it regardless because plan b is not 100% effective.
nothings 100% EXCEPT ABSTINENCE  That's why I don't have a girlfriend ;) All I need in this life of sin, is me and my PC.[QUOTE="whipassmt"]I've never had 'the scare". Well the good news is that at 18 your girlfriend is physically mature to the point were there shouldn't be any serious medical issues from the pregnancy. Most colleges offer some resources to help students with children take care of their children, so you and your girlfriend should probably look into this. Many people have babies in high school or college and still graduate and get a degree. Also your parents and hers will probably be willing to help you guys take care of the kid and will probably offer good advice to you, though they may be a bit surprised or upset when they first hear the news, after a while they will probably be willing and maybe even excited to take care of your kid (and don't forget that you're extended family may be willing to help as well).[QUOTE="poptart"]

Also, as a general life lesson, plans will often have to be tweaked and adjusted to accomodate changes. We are not omniscient so it is best to make plans that are flexible.
That is so depressing whipassmt. lol just caught your name is whip ass mountain. Your basically telling the kid that is time to give up his childhood and become a father. what a bummer I dont disagree but the reality of it is just so depressingplaymynutzWhat's depressing about being a father?

As for what I'm saying being depressing, I guess it's what you make of it. The Chinese character for "crisis" is a combination of the character for "danger" and the character for "opportunity". He is 18 so and heading into college so I think the days of his pure childhood have been over for a while, sacrifices must be made, sometimes lesser goods must be given up to obtain a greater good, such is life. Things will not always be easy, but is is hardship that builds character. The OP should look upon this as a challenge and an opportunity, if he is to be a dad there will be some tough times but it should also be exciting and somewhat of an adventure. I have confidence in him and his girlfriend that they will rise to the occasion if they are truly with child.

Is it really that hard to use a condom?FrostyPhantasmYeah, they kind of ruin the mood sometimes. "Like... oh hang on, let me slip this piece of rubber on so that we aren't actually touching each other"
Everyone talking about Pre-Cum, the chances of you getting pregnant from that is very slim.
Also I think its a thing where you cant get pregnant unless the guy "shoots" and has not done a peepee before the time it comes out (something like that)
Never had sex education? It's biology and people should know this stuff because it's sex, it's common but can have bad consequences if done wrong unless you want a baby.Since when did most of OT became doctors?
TehFuneral
Screw all that proper timing or I'm an OG that can bang a girl without pre-cum. Pre-cum will get a girl pregnant simply by whipping your junk in her one timeplaymynutz
Oh to be young, when the sticky white love piss explodes from the loins like a roman candle going off. Alas when you're older such romantic notions as the delightful sounding 'pre cum' are but old memories and fanciful dreams. Instead we have to make do with what's akin to a small child being sick these days.
If she's having her period then she isn't pregnant.
And with such easy to obtain items that preventpregnancy I can only say one thing. Next time use a condom, dumbass
It just shook some stuff up because the hormones came in like drunk frat boys in a library. XilePrincess
 amazing simile!
actually this is not true. depending on when the egg was fertilized and how many days the woman is into her cycle it is possible to have a period. this happen to my friend. she thought she was in the clear because she had her period then she found out a couple of weeks later she was indeed pregnant. If she's having her period then she isn't pregnant.
