Pure communism or Pure capitalism??

Assume for a second that Marx's theory was perfect in practice and that pure capitalism was to be applied as well (privatisation of everything). They both work like they say they do on paper. Which one would you prefer? In communism, you are guaranteed a decent standard of living with your quality in life moving up as the society progresses as a whole. In pure capitalism you are not guaranteed anything, but you have the chance to move forward and backwards as well (alone, however). Which society would you prefer?

Neither. Pure capitalism isn't very great because it doesn't address market failures, nor the need for public goods. Pure communism isn't great because it does't address private goods efficiently nor does it facilitate competition or progression. Capitalism is more efficient but more destructive while Communism is less efficient and non progressive.

EDIT - Considering if they worked perfectly, I would choose Capitalism because it ensures progression.

If rich = capitalism so Id be richer

If poor = communism so I wouldnt be poor compared to everyone else

If I had to chose, pure capitalism. Better dead than red. But a mixed-market economy is the preferable choice, which is why almost every country in the modern world is now one.

An ideal system would be a mix between socialism and captialism.

socalism safeguards the poor and human rights.

While captailsm provides choice, competion, and innovation.

Well as a tribe grows stronger it would pull in other tribes and assimilate them ensuring there is enough new blood. Like risk you start out with allies but as you grow you eventually turn on them.
