This is disgusting, but it might help to keep those who are thinking of rape from actually committing the crime. I would like to point out that Japan has the largest porn industry in the world, and the lowest rates of murders and rapes. It's gotta help in some way.

QFT. Old news is old. Japan has an entire genre for Rape games. There are several articles from Kotaku following some of this recent stuff from last year including mentioning Rapelay which is a 3 year old game. News shock value, ftw. Don't ever doubt their need for ratings kids.

Also, many games like this have been released to the US. If anyone thinks this would be banned in the US they should read the constitution....

japan is not backwards, it merely doesn't posses a western culture. Most of the world dosn't. Just because a country does not conform to the norms that you were brought up on does not make it backwards orless civilized. There it is expected that women be respectful, much like you would be to your boss. It is just a switching of roles, dependant on your culture.

How do you respond to this without sounding like a perv? I've known about these games for years. I don't play them, but I also have no problem with them. I wish America wasn't so up tight about violent games(I should be able to choose). An AO game won't be sold anywhere so there are taking away my choice without taking it away(if that makes sense). The correct response is "No... that's sick!" but the real response is "I don't care". If people want to buy it who am I not to sell it to them(although that's the attitude that makes drugs so readily available). There is no correct answers, but I do know if anything the decision should be solely Japanese. Japan should stand up and do what they want regardless of what other countries women think about it.
