Rock? Led Zeppelin was still going strong in the 70s, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac is okay, The Who, Rolling Stones, Moody Blues, Doors....the regular music. 80s was about alternative. When you're reading for alt let me know.:P

Are you kidding me? Led zeplin, deep purple, ac/dc, journey, rush, stevie wonder, james brown, elton john... I won't keep going.

The godfather, star wars alone destroyed the 80's.

Atari 2600... Oh lord, stop me now.

Moody Blues after the 60s was meh. Knights in White Satin is by far their best work. Agreed with Floyd and the Stones though.

what are best rock or pop bands from 70's and 80's then ? :P

Pirate700

Rock? Led Zeppelin was still going strong in the 70s, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac is okay, The Who, Rolling Stones, Moody Blues, Doors....the regular music. 80s was about alternative. When you're reading for alt let me know.:P

Moody Blues after the 60s was meh. Knights in White Satin is by far their best work.

Hey I never said I listened to Moody Blues...though I do like Knights in White Satin a lot. I was giving him decent bands of the day....not necessarily my own choices....but I do like most of them. Oh yeah...Rush as well.

[QUOTE="zenogandia"]70's.

Haven't heard much from 70's unfortunately. What were good pop bands from 70's ?

Disco was big.....actually the 70s weren't a very good decade overall for entertainment.

Clueless. The 60's and early 70's is considered one of the greatest era's in music. Not just Rock and Roll but Fusion, Classical, Jazz, Country, Electronica, you name it. There was an amazing amount of innovation, talent, and expression. Electronic amplification and synthesizers had become available enough that any garage band or aspiring artist could afford it, and all the undiscovered talent was able to hit the road. There are entire College Degree's based on the history of this era.
