Haha, they should've released every concert they were in into an album. Their concerts had so much atmosphere.
My favorite song by PF is also my favorite live performance by them, careful with that axe eugene.
Goddamn I love this band so much that ifthey were a woman I would cuddle with her, walk on the beach with her during sunset, travel to various exotic locations with her, and spend the rest of my happy life with her/10
I really mean this too.
9.5/10.
Sorry i cant give em the last .5 because all albums prior of DSOTM is not the best.
But everything after (Including DSOTM) is really awesome.
Too bad none of my friends cant appreciate their talent and godliness. They say they're too "boring".

Their first album wasn't that bad at all. A saucerful of Secrets was also pretty damn good. Ummagumma and Meddle were pretty damn awesome too.
Infinite/10. Pink Floyd was my gateway drug so to say for music, their music has defined me as a person and completely changed my outlook on life. The only Pink Floyd album I did not like was the Final Cut, otherwise I love all of them.
[QUOTE="Xeros606"]Great, great band. Their works from before DSOTM are way underrated IMO. Too bad everything after The Wall sucked.taj7575
I agree with you on on the stuff previous DSOTM, and I also agree on post-The Wall.
Obscured by Clouds is one of their most underated albums next to Atom Heart Mother, no one talks about Obscured by Clouds but it is so beautiful.

I haven't really given that album a chance (probably because of all their other post the wall albums), but I'll check it out again.
At this rate, there's going to be a "Rate This Band" thread for every band known to man. Pink Floyd = 4/5 in my books.scorch-62
I've noticed that.
The way I look at it, and every thread that starts being common on OT, I say "well at least it's not a fad thread" like we had back in early 09.
As long as they have a different discussions, I don't mind them at all.
Assigning them an arbitrary number out of 10 is just stupid, but they're a great band. Wish You Were Here alone proves that. Therefore, I'm giving them a 9.39583753/10. That number has so much freaking meaning to it. /sarcasm
A number assigned is just a way to gauge how much someone likes said band being judged. No need to get worked up over it.Assigning them an arbitrary number out of 10 is just stupid, but they're a great band. Wish You Were Here alone proves that. Does it look like I like Pink Floyd? I added More to my collection last year while in Holland. David Gilmour has some awesome stuff on his Live In Gdansk 5 disk CD/DVD set with him, Richard Wright (RIP) and a couple of others from the A Delicate Sound of Thunder and Pulse (awesome concert BTW) tours in his barn just jammin.
Epic/10.
Not the biggest fan of DSOTM though..

What?
The Dark Side of the Moon was an immediate success, topping the Billboard 200 for one week. It subsequently remained in the charts for 741 weeks from 1973 to 1988, longer than any other album in history. With an estimated 45 million copies sold, it is Pink Floyd's most commercially successful album and one of the best-selling albums worldwide. It has twice been remastered and re-released, and has been covered by several other acts. It spawned two singles, "Money" and "Us and Them". In addition to its commercial success, The Dark Side of the Moon is one of Pink Floyd's most popular albums among fans and critics, and is frequently ranked as one of the greatest rock albums of all time.
Floyd will always be epic/10 to me. Gilmour makes a lead guitar sing.:)
