Sadly because I've been in school, reading has taken a backseat to other things...So the last book I read was 1984 and that was about six months ago.
I give it a solid 9/10. Had a great ending.

The Very Hungry Catepillar. It was challenging with some big words, but I got through it. I give it 10/10.
I re-read the hobbit recently. It was great. 10/10
EMOEVOLUTION
I read that before The Road. It's flawless.

I actually like the Hobbit more than LotR >_>Newton and the Counterfeiter. I give it a solid 8, maybe 8.5. It dragged a bit over his preoccupation with alchemy.

I actually like the Hobbit more than LotR >_> Yeah, me too.The book i just read was the Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury. It was a fairly short read being only 200some pages. It was very interesting though and somewhat depressing as well. I won't give too many spoilers but if your a fan of science fiction then give it a read. Id say 8/10.
Let me first say, I love this book. And I love it for so many reasons. I stumbled on to this book a second time when I was looking at reviews for another book. I discovered that i was wrong about my first opinion about the book. In comparison to other teen fiction this book doesn't have false love. What I mean is that the characters actually build a relationship maturely. And even though the romance is apart of the book it isn't dragged out. Its straight to the point. "I like you so what are we going to do about it". The book might be this way because it is told by a guy.
What also got me interested right away about this book is that it takes place in South Carolina. For some reason South Carolina Sounds good on paper. Not in person. But this book is filled with history and Lore. I think someone said this before but I'll repeat it. There is something about paranormal in the south that works. And this book works. The last thing I'll say is the "Creatures" will amaze you. If you read this book don't let anyone tell you what they are because that is part of the fun and the mystery of the book.
9/10
Evangelism Handbook by Dr. Alvin Reid. The book is written by one of my professors and is honestly one of the best books I've read about sharing the Gospel message. He does an amazing job at givng a general overview of all things related to evangelism. The book mentions servant evangelism, church planting, mass evangelism, testimonies, and everything inbetween all while keeping to Scripture and acknowledging evangelism across history.

I was thinking about buying that book today. Any reason on why you gave it a 6?

The ending was a let down, but it wasn't a bad book overall. Maybe I should of given it a 7.I actually checked that out a couple days to read, but haven't started it yet. Last book I read was Breathers, by S.G. Browne. I give a 9/10.The Road.

I loved every bit of it. I'll tell you this much though: it isn't a happy book at all. I felt depressed when I finished it 3 days ago. I still think about the book which is odd because I usually never do that, even with movies. Next semester I'm gonna see if we can do this for novel study instead of Romeo and Juliet. :P

I actually like the Hobbit more than LotR >_> I adore The Hobbit, and I can see why someone would like it better than LOTR, but I don't agree. If they actually do a faithful adaptation of it for the movies...it will be amazing. Please Log In to post.
