Rate this drawing?

This is what I drew for my Dad for Christmas. It's a picture of me, him, and my brother. I used an old photo of us as a reference.

I realize there is a lot to work on. But for now, rate this drawing? What could I improve on? Etc. (:

That's a good drawing, you have talent. *edit* I forgot to say what you could improve upon, proportions. That's all I can think of, I'm no art major.

I don't mean to offend you, but your dad kinda looks like Gene Shalit.

Its a nice drawing to be sure but, don't take it the wrong way now, I'm just a little creeped out. But I feel the love. Wilfred_Owen

Homemade gifts are always better than purchased gifts because they come from the heart. I have no idea if that's an accurate representation of what your dad looks like, but the drawing is pretty good, in my opinion.

But really, that is some good drawing you did there. Your pop's hair came out pretty damned good (assuming that is how his hair is!)

I always feel that people like you should always use their skills to their benefit. Ever consider art school or a career in art?

That's what I love about my Dad, he's very sensitive and a gift like this will probably make him tear up (: so I'm excited to give it to him.

The fact that you drew it for your Dad makes the picture special, he's going to love it. Artistically speaking, I would work on shading and facial proportion. chrisrooR

Ahh yes, I never learned how to shade properly..I never learned how to draw period actually, lol!

Anyways, the drawing doesn't look quite like the photo, but it still looks great. I'm sure he'll like it; it shows that you're willing to put some real effort in a gift for him.
