Blessed By The Beast by Terrorist, locals here from El Paso, TX:
Blackened Thrash Metal.
Still need to get it though.
But I have no money right now...
Just looked these guys and this album up. The title track has one majorly kickass riff. Not a fan of the vocals but otherwise this is some kickass music. Thanks.Drowaton by The Starlight Mints.
I love The Starlight Mints. Their music can only be described as psychedelic pop. What I think is the best part of this band is that their music is so intricate. It's not about amazing guitar solos, or amazing vocals. It's about catchy music, catchy lyrics, and fantastic sounds. Catchy lyrics, great music, and a lot of personality. Here are some songs from it.
Pumpkin
Inside of Me(Easily their most famous song from this album)
Eyes of the Night (Theme song for a TV show called "Demons". I never saw it but maybe someone remembers them.)
Submarine #3 (Not from Drowaton but a fun song regardless)

If you like them you should check out The Super Furry Animals. They one of the best Psychedelic pop bands around.
Anjunabeats Volume TwoKittenNipplesMy mate has a signed copy of that :) They gave it him when he discovered a security flaw on their website (and told them about it, ofc).

I have a video of them and other locals playing at a gig inside a garage in my profile if you wanna see them.
I saw Terrorist like three times, two in the same garage and the other at a show opening for Jungle Rot and Deicide. I've talked to the singer of Terrorist as well. Cool guy.

Parallel Uni-Verses by Del the Funky Homosapien & Tame One
Definetely the best hip-hop album of 2009.
No hip-hop fan should miss this (especially the underground ones).
You can listen to the whole album for free here.

Interesting. I heard the album some time ago but I remember thinking to myself it was just washed up rappers uniting and adefinite pass. Maybe I'll give it a second look.
Del is a legend, man.
I like your sig.The Killing Tree- The Romance of Helen Trent.
I haven't been able to find it anywhere. :(harashawn
AMAZING album. People have heard of it, just not near enough imo.
Somewhere In Time/ Believe is a complete masterpiece. Here are some more great lesser known albums.
1. The Mountain Goats- Tallahassee
2. Dun- Eros
3. Delta Spirit- Ode to sunshine
4. Gorky's zygotic mynci- Barafundle
5. Bill Bruford- One of a kind
6. Echobelly- on
7. In mourning- Monolith
8. Orphaned land- The never ending way of orwarrior
9. Mind games- MMX
10. Shining- Blackjazz
Jakob - Solace. A great ambient rock band. These 3 guys make me proud to be a New Zealander
Death in Vegas - The Contino Sessions.I dont know why these guys aern't more popular. If you have played Gran Turismo 3 you would have heard their song Aisha (Featured on this album) which contains Iggy Pop doing vocals.
Susanne Abbuehl - Compass. A must for lovers of dark minimalistic Jazz
David Axelrod - Song of Innocence. A great experimental funk / jazz/ rock album that not much people know about, which is really sad. You would of heard his song "Holy Thursday" on GTA4 and if you listen to Jurrasic 5 you will recognize the bass riff from "A day at the races" which was taken from Davids song "Urizen" and finally.....
Townes Van Zandt - Our Mother the Mountain. An awesome Alternative Country album.
