But what artist is constantly influential? It seems to me that even the artists that are the absolute biggest influences in their genres have a certain point where they stop being influential.
When you make the list of 100 greatest the artists should be relevant to that. And not put on a list to fill it up. IMO. And there was filler on there.Again, what artist is constantly influential? The only one I can think of is The Beatles and that's because they quit while they were on top. Even heavy hitters like The Stones are not influential anymore. Their influence was in 60s and part of the 70s.
