The draft is one of the most forceful actions a government could ever impose on it's citizens.Especially if you don't agree with the war.
[QUOTE="SaintBlaze"]I'm too young to get drafted so I don't have anything to worry about. :Dfidosim
That's what I was saying four years ago when the Iraq war started, but now i'm almost old enough and things still are unstable.
That's exactly what "they" want from Iraq. For it to be destabilized

no they don't. Gotta love the bags though. :P
Hmm...it seems that my country is demanding my pwnage, whether I like it or not. After I have brutally slaughtered every terrorist in Iraq, I will single-handedly end this war.
In all seriousnes, though, this draft is BS, IT'S NOT REAL. They don't even need it for this war. The problem isn't that we don't have enough soldiers, especially since they started "The Surge".

Put it to you like this,....
At present, the war is made to look like it's going badly, and most Americans think it is. However the fact that the public fails to see, is that the destabilization is exactly what the "architects" behind the govt wanted. The Iraq War is not to be won, it is to be sustained so that the region can be divided up, domination of the oil maintained, continual profits stack up for the defense contractors, and most importantly, to have permanent military bases established to be used as a launching pad against other oil bearing-nonconforming countries such as Iran & Syria

How do you know? Oh, and if you leave a country when they have a draft, then you're a f***ing p***y There's nothing more cowardly then leaving your country in their time in need.

HEY, I just live here. I'm not going to fight for some BS a fat cat politician started. Especially when the mission plan is to drive around in a convoy and get blown to pieces by copper bombs. I would never fight for the U.S government in a light Infantry unit. Not until they get their **** together. They strategize like they are playing a rudimentarygame. But thereare no rules and how do you fight an enemy effectively when America has lost it's ability to fight a war effectively? America is soft. Everyone wants to conduct it like it's a simple game governed by rules when in reallity there is no such thing as fair fight nor a clean fight. Too worried aboutcivilian casualties. Just because they aren't carring gun doesn't mean they aren't hostile. Just because they aren't waving a gun around that particular day doesn't mean they are our friends.
Children maybe killed in the process, but that is thefault of the elders. They start it and drag everyone that surrounds them into their fight. Make enemies in the process? That's too bad, you can't be everybody's friend, it's not possible.

In any event, people dont seem to realize that 9/11 was used to launch 2 illegal wars, US vs Iraq and US vs Afghanistan. 9/11 was also the pretext to take away our rights, in exchange for "security". You have the Military Tribunal Act, The Department of Homeland Security which brought the Patriot Act enabling the govt to spy on US citizens and a bunch of other legislations that are designed to strip us of our civil lberties, so that we have no power asa people to fight back against our government leaders.

How was US vs. Afghanistan illegal? We flushed out all the terrorists that were responsible for 9/11. Iraq is a different story, but the fighting inAfghanistan was definatly needed.

First, right after September 11 President Bush called these attacks an act of terrorism, which they were under the United States domestic law definition at that time. However, there is no generally accepted definition of an act of terrorism under international law. Soon thereafter, aftersome consultations with Secretary of State Powell, he proceeded to call these an act of war, ratcheting up the rhetoric and the legal and constitutional issues at stake here. They were not an act of war as traditionally defined. An act of war is a military attack by one state against another state. T
So far no there isevidence produced that the state of Afghanistan, either attacked the United States or authorized or approved such an attack. Indeed, FBI Director Mueller and the deputy director of the CIA publically admitted that they have found no evidence in Afghanistan linked to the September 11 attacks. If you believe the government's account of what happened, which I think is highly questionable, 15 of these 19 people alleged to have committed these attacks were from Saudi Arabia and yet we went to war against Afghanistan.
