Isn't it like winter over there? Because if it is then that would be unfortunate.

thats because it cheaper to buy Gas & Oil off of other countries but we still have a significant amount of Gas & Oil stored for a crises just like this infact the UK could become one of the worlds 5 largest Oil producers in the next 10 to 20 years if what they are saying about the Falklands is true and anyway your wrong the UK for the most part is self sufficient interms of Gas .

The UN is useless...

Even if people actually listened to them Russia has the power of veto

Personally, I see this as the first act of terrorism committed quite directly by a government and it shouldn't be tolerated...

Ukraine is still without oil and Russia is claiming that the Ukraine is stealing the oil with American backing...

Meanwhile the Oil market continues to be volitile and adding even more shocks through an unstable world economy...

Blame it on Ukraine. Russia has no interest to shut down the gas unless it's a strong motive. If this is true, Ukraine would simply be provoking Russia to conflict. If this is false, it would be a good pretext to start some heat with Ukraine. Either way, it's not looking very good with the ukraineans. The situation between Ukraine and Russia is tense as it is.

Or we could build pipelines from where Russia is getting their gas. They are buying it for half the price and sells it expenisve to Europa

We arent talking a few barrels here. This is a huge amount of Oil that's just "disappeared".

If Russia is the party responsible for moving the Oil to Ukraine...and if the Oil is yet to arrive...isn't Russia the logical place to start looking for a problem?

I can't imagine that Ukraine is stealing the oil because Ukraine is winter locked and needs the fuel for heating...Essentially, they can't "hide" it because they need to use it...

Russia has a history of throwing it's weight around. Russia is bringing a third party into this (USA) for no obvious reason.

Alarm bells are ringing...
