Which indicates to some people that she might jump into the race, especially with Huckabee gone.

I still maintain that she's not likely to run because she is not building any kind of campaign infrastructure as far I know.

I'm more inclined to think that the statement is designed to fuel the speculation and to try to refocus the media attention on her. After all, it has been fading.

I think that when push comes to shove, she'll just say that "family reasons" made her decide against running.

I really hope she doesn't. Right now the Republican party is suffering from a deficit of sanity. Palin would only increase that deficit.

Don't retreat, reload!

I hope she runs. With Donald Trump out of the equation, 2012 looks like a boring election.

It's gonna be two if the Republicans keep rolling out joke candidates like Palin and Gingrich.

(I think Romney has a shot though)

That might be true, but 90% of the country is employed and I don't know how much unemployment is going to affect their vote.

Our unemployment doesn't take into account those who have stopped looking for work. So unemployment is in the double digits in some places.

Unemployment has gone down a lot since he came into office, and it's still going down. It takes a few years to come out of a really bad recession.

The stimulus was supposed to cap unemployment at 8%. We see how well that worked out.

Only a single President has survived a re-election with high unemployment like we have.

This is what I think:

If unemployment goes down to about 8, it will be close, but Obama will probably squeek out a win.

If unemployment is higher than 8, Obama will lose if the Republicans nominate a competent candidate. A candidate likesarah Palin pretty much guarantees aRepublican loss.

If unemployment is anywhere near the mid-7s, Obama wins easily.

Not like anyone else has done anything about the economy anyway. To just blame the president is pretty silly, it's the entire governments problem. They can't get their act together and act like adults.

good Palin run you will give Obama a bigger chance to win

Idiots like Hannity and Levin will support her and those that believe them will support Palin.

Palin helped tarnish the race in Maryland for governor and because of her we have Mr. New Americans having another term

I really dislike her as a former republican I can honestly say and I am not saying this about HER PERSONALLY but she is a hugh problem to the republican party that will only backfire on them like the tea party

The stimulus was supposed to cap unemployment at 8%. We see how well that worked out.

the problem is that the transfer went totally wrong. the fed should take a leaf out of mexico's book and learn what a conditional cash transfer (more like a conditional loan with an interest rate above zero, in this case) is, and force the banks to follow rules instead of recapitalising them (btw FDIC ran out of money LOL) with the goal of restarting lending. which was a goal of the actual stimulus but instead of lending we got executive severance packages (sounds cooler i guess)

affect on the presidency? not great for obama. but not great for the gop either since everyone is at fault, basically.

i find that unemployment rate is a complete joke. The rate is only based on the people on the unepoyment benfits.

so that excludes

~everyone who dose not wish to be on that because they believe they have enough to support their own selfs untill they find other job

~anyone who had the benifits but ran out before getting other job

Yeah it's kind of misleading to say it went up recently, which it did though. That's only because of the way we calculate it. People have actually been going back to work more recently as jobs have been added lately.
