Scenario: Someone is breaking into your house...

It's the dead of night.

You're fast asleep when suddenly something jolts you awake. You know instantly that someone is moving around your house who shouldn't be.

You pick up your baseball bat and head out to confront the burgler.

Quietly, yet swiftly, you head to the sound of objects being moved around. You catch a glimpse of a flashlight beam from the kitchen, you lunge forward, only to find that the burgler is...

A wizard!

The wizard has a long white beard, and is wearing long wizards robes, but... there is no sign of a wand (but that doesn't mean he doesn't have one), and he has an evil looking scar on his face. He makes no attempt to attack you; instead, he greets you by name.

What do you do? (Be as honest as possible)

Depends - if he bows after he says his name, then he's cool. If he doesn't, I'd probably scream my guts out, then ask him to leave politely or call the police. I wouldn't hurt him physically though, unless he actually started stealing something or started to get closer.

act friendly and when he gets closer smack right upside the head. Then when he hits the ground hit him 3 more times as hard as i can in the head then go back to bed and sleep peacefully

Greet him, make him take a seat and perhaps make him some tea, and pledge myself to his teachings and hopefully he takes me along with him to Magical Fairy land or gods know where in which magical realms exist or something.

Totally befriend the old sorcerer. My birthday is on Tuesday, so the Birthday Cake makes complete sense. I would thank him, and ask if I can learn some magic...in which he would obviously reply "Yes ofcourse, Samwise. I will teach you the ways." He would do just that. BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!

Forget the baseball bat, I'd grab my M4, aim, wait for him to turn and face me, and unload 3 rounds into his body. That way if the cops ask I'd say he charged me and I felt threatened ;)
