School bans hugs for more than 2 seconds

Now I know I'm born in the sticks, my school had 2500 and it was the second largest in the entire country.

It was an all-boys school so they didn't need to enforce that law. If two males got within a foot of each other it was only to fight.

I guess it cause Hugs can lead to something else, all the time if it's more than 2 seconds long. Silly, isn't it?

Now, not that I'm wishing for this, but this makes it seem like if ever there was another school tragedy like Columbine, hugging and consoling each other after the event would definitely be out of the question because it can go from consoling someone to harrassment or some sort of sexual advance.

Ah yes, the number of times I've tried to get to my lessons and there's a damn orgy in the way. They should at least have the decency to clean up after themselves.

I suppose if you think about it, this will only make the kids wanna hug even more in a protest kinda of way. I was just reading bout another school who tried going thru with the same ban, but the students of that high school protested by doing some sort of group hug right on their campus, and the school eventually backtracked themselves.

Now we're policing how long kids can hug? Some "free country" this is turning into, eh?

This is a free country, this however flys against the Constitution. I hope they challange it. This is a case of freedom of expression and is not taking away other's rights. They have the full right to hug for as long as they deem necessary.
