No, the anti-gun sheeples can take mine from my cold dead hands.

Firearms will be needed when the cops decide to quit their jobs like they did in New Orleans during the Hurricane Katrina aftermath. Cops won't likely be there to answer your distress calls for you during a serious riot as well.

Firearms are going to be needed when the Mexicans start a violent separatist movement in the South-Western states in the future too.

Why do people complain about threads like these? What's so great about the million random pointless threads like 'how often do you shower or 'There is this girl I like...'?

Apparently they need them to fight Mexicans.

You can't really hunt a bear with anything other than an extremely powerful firearm.

Yeah but you don't need gun that shoot like 30 bullets a second to take down a bear.

Actually, more powerful semi automatic weapons would be better.

I oversimplified it, there are probably exceptions like hunting large game and a few others. Maybe if somebody who already had a long history of hunting applied for a bear hunting permit they could buy certain guns set aside for that reason.

But the whole Mexican separatist thing was idiotic. What does it say when those who are opposed to banning any guns think like that? Oh well, makes my side seem more reasonable.

If guns weren't so easily available in the US would those tragic school shootings have happened? Unlikely.

Noticed how school shootings don't happen nearly as much in Europe? Yeah.

Another great option would be to actually teach people about guns and get rid of the taboo.

If more people owned legally aquired firearms, less people would die at the hands of illegal firearms and those who used illegal firearms would die faster.

Pretty sure it doesn't say anything about guns specifically and does the constitution not apply to people with mental health issues or criminal records?

Woooaaaaah. Hadn't realized the right wing hate had gone this far yet. I mean i was sure that mexicans would be used as a scapegoat used to blame the crumbling economy on... I know that hate crimes against mexicans have gone up... But now this... I'm sure you didn't make that little number up yourself either, im sure theres millions of others just like you. Quite disguesting. Anyone else thinking Jews after WWI?

Please, pay attention to history and world events. Let's look at a recent example: the 2005 Paris Riots.

"....the BBC summarized reasons behind the [riots] included youth unemployment and lack of opportunities in France's poorest communities."

When the American economy and welfare state inevitably go "belly up" for the illegals here, don't be surprised when they start burning your city to the ground (if you are in proximity of the West Coast) and demand their entitlements (such as the return of "their stolen land") via terrorism.

I don't really care about hunting. If you want to hunt, hunt.

Either way, if guns are ever banned, I'd wind up owning various other instruments that are capable of inflicting pain on other people, like crossbows.

Anyone ever read the Federalist papers? Hamilton and Madison both argued in favour of a federal government BECAUSE the second amendment was going to be incorporated into its existence. They made the argument that armies controlled by a federal government would not pose a threat to liberty because of the prevalence of an armed populace. That is why we have a right to them guaranteed in the constitution.

[QUOTE="swizz-the-gamer"][QUOTE="yoshi-lnex"]Certain guns like high powered rifles, automatic weapons or magnums. Those are unnecessarily powerful for either hunting, or home defence.-TheSecondSign-

Apparently they need them to fight Mexicans.

You can't really hunt a bear with anything other than an extremely powerful firearm.

Another great option would be to actually teach people about guns and get rid of the taboo.

If more people owned legally aquired firearms, less people would die at the hands of illegal firearms and those who used illegal firearms would die faster.

Or you could just ban them because they are pointless as hell.

I disagree. Greatly.

They should not be legal so that people can shoot animals running around a forest.

Except for the fact that that's not why I think they should be legal.

I don't really care about hunting. If you want to hunt, hunt.

Either way, if guns are ever banned, I'd wind up owning various other instruments that are capable of inflicting pain on other people, like crossbows.

I live in England. I don't see anyone running around with a crossbow...

I'd keep that at home.
For protection.

Are you comparing a crossbow to an AK-47?

[QUOTE="SolidSnake35"][QUOTE="sauses3392"]i think england should ban alcohol, 800 children under the age of eight were admitted to hospital last year for alcohol poisoning >_>sauses3392

It is banned for children aged eight....

for everybody, that shows theres a serious problem there and banning alcohol would save a few

I'm glad there're only 800 shootings a year in the US...

Frattracide

I think that was kinda worded funny because yesterday I was at a gun range with about 70-100 people having fun with guns but not killing a single thing

Drugs are illegal because they are dangerous but not everyone uses them in a dangerous way.

Drugs can't defend people. They can fry your brain, but that's it.

Legally owned firearms are rarely a danger, because they are rarely used for crime. THey can be tracked.

Illegally gained firearms are the universal preference. We should use resources to constrict the trade of illegal firearms over banning all of them, in my opinion.

I'll take what I can get legally. I may not agree with a law, but I won't break it unless I feel necessary.

Please, pay attention to history and world events. Let's look at a recent example: the 2005 Paris Riots.

"....the BBC summarized reasons behind the riots included youth unemployment and lack of opportunities in France's poorest communities."

When the American economy and welfare state inevitably go "belly up" for the illegals here, don't be surprised when they start burning your city to the ground (if you are in proximity of the West Coast) and demand their entitlements (such as the return of "their stolen land") via terrorism.

reagan80_basic
Oh please, you make them sound like sociopaths. They're not going to burn down cities. They come to America because Mexico sucks in a lot of places. And sometimes they do it illegally, CUZ IT'S ****ING HARD TO LEARN ENGLISH AND OTHER **** THEY HAVE TO DO! They just want to live in nice cities like my city where birds chirp and Mormons try to regulate schools. It's not that easy to commit acts of terrorism, try burning down a city, the police will pwn you. I'm SOMEWHAT for gun rights, actually, I'm more so apolitical. I don't really care either way, I guess force is the natural course of things, but so is exercising what you wish to do. However, I'm not going to pretend that we have some really awesome good reasons for carrying around M4 Carbines.

Actually, drugs can protect you. If you're really horny you snort some Smack and you won't feel so depressed about being an involuntary celibate(Not YOU, but you in general, anyone depressed about being an involuntary celibate).

I'd rather not having people doing that if possible.
Infact, I'm against many legal drugs and medications.

To be fair, most civilians are too stupid to make good use out of guns. They'd probably hunt rabbits instead.

[QUOTE="monkeytoes61"]You never studied the constitution is history class did you? swizz-the-gamer
Pretty sure it doesn't say anything about guns specifically and does the constitution not apply to people with mental health issues or criminal records?

"The right to bear arms"

What are guns to you, then?
