In only EXTREME situations. But generally no, the moment you hit a woman, the cops and everyone takes the side of the woman. Best thing to do is to call her fat, or something that will break her down.

Oh, I'm not refuting you I was just contributing to the argument saying that it's bizarre that men abusing women is seen as soooo much worse than a woman hitting a man. Phil Hartman (who you may remember as the voice Troy Mclure and Lionel Hutz from the Simpsons) was shot and killed by his wife after an argument.
I would say the situation should be even. If either is severly punished for hitting someone of the other gender, it's suposed to be the same the other way. If men are not allowed to hit women (& severely punished for doin so), women shouldn't be allowed to do the same. Overall, nobody should be allowed to hit anybody.
