I think if you killed your self, that is a crime, obviously, the worst thing one can do to theirselves without escaping sadistic mentality(don't ask  ) is murdering yourself. If you somehow failed because the law had stopped you from killing yourself, it should be considered a crime, however it should be understood that as government, you cannot just let a citizen of your land do that(obviously), also I don't think putting them behind bars is the answer either. Treated as a crime sure, but only for police record purposes, because what the government should then do is help those who have no expectation from w/e, which led them to attempt killing themselves.. Is it a crime? Of course it is. When you're dealing with the government it is a crime.

You have an interesting opinion, but I disagree. You seem to believe that a government, by virtue of being a government, is logically forced into making laws that ensure its survival and that suicide is a crime because it undermines the survival of the government. While it is true that government would cease if everyone committed suicide, it's important to keep in mind that the citizens govern the government. The government does not simply govern without consent. That being said, every citizen has the right to his life, liberty, and securing his happiness, and thus has the right to end his life as part of his natural rights. Government exists to ensure those natural rights are protected. The moment laws restrict our natural rights is the moment government not only stops supporting our natural rights, but also vigorously obstructs them.
