That's some bull. I think I've heard this story somewhere else though....It was, in Britain, at some point. I'm not 100% sure if it's true, but I once read a story about a man in Britain (19th century, not anything recent) who tried to commit suicide - he cut his throat. The medics saved him, stiched his throat back, but he was condemned to a death sentence for his suicide attempt (clever, right?). The thing is - since it's Britain - death sentence means hanging by the neck. So when the man was hung, his stiched came apart and opened a way into his lungs - so he was able to breathe through the hole in the throat. So was just just hanging there, not dying. Eventually, they tied the noose under the cut, and he was executed. Nice story, huh?
