I am referring to people who make bombs or associate with actual known terrorists and terrorist groups. They are not locking up random people.

In our culture, rape is wrong. If society suddenly approved of rape, I would not be ok with it however. That is because as a society, we are constantly striving to be more and more civilized. There is no doubt nowadays that, for example, slavery and segregation are culturally unacceptable. But rewind a few decades or centuries and these things were the norm. Was it wrong back then to "buy" a human being and put them to work? No, but is it wrong now? Yes. That is why when it comes down to it, there is only what's culturally acceptable and unacceptable.

Currently, we are going through a phase in trying to figure out if denying gays marriage rights is wrong or not. That's something we have yet to work out. If gay marriage passes in all states however, then in the future, it will be wrong to try to prevent the marriage of same sex couples. Now, however, we don't know if it's right or wrong. I'd say no...the past is in the past, let bygones be bygones (as incredibly hard as it may be). I mean, hell, maybe some of them have realized the wrongs and horros that they not only caused to others but to their families and friends and perhaps have renounced their ways and are trying to be good Samaritans to society. Of course if they haven't and are still do things behind people's backs such as planning an attack on someone then perhaps you should keep an eye out for them until the act is commited.

Not everyone who served in the Wehrmacht was a nazi, and members of the SS were all volunteers.

Explain? My understanding is if you where a solider between the reign of the third Reich 1933-1945 you were part of the Wehrmacht; which is Nazi military.

Hitler is your commander in chief/Patron, meaning you obey his commands similar to today's president, though presidents can't wage war, that's congress so probably bad example.
