I guess I'm about as American as I am British.aiyshuni'm more american than british.... and i'm british
I got 40%, but I'm Aussie and also guessed half of them.
Also, shouldn't the test be harder and more meaningful or something? I mean memorizing a bunch of useless facts shouldn't make you eligible for citizenship.
Or is the actual test different?
100%
I took the real test two years ago to become a citizen, and its MUCH more difficult. I still passed though :D
I got 100%
The fact that so many Americans do horribly on these tests worries me. How can we expect to run the country when we don't know anything about how it's supposed to work?

Not that I was able to take the test as it is not working for me, but I imagine it asks specific questions about the Constitution and such. In what way would this knowledge be at all beneficial to ANYONE's day-to-day life. Save lawyers and politicians, anyway?I could be on Parliament. Also from the UK and got 50%,I have never remotely taken much of an interest in American history.

Because you practice freedom of speech everyday and its good to know that you have that right. Perhaps you are taken into custody, there must be probable cause and the right to a fair and speedy trial. Things like that are good to know in everyday life. Anyway, back on topic, I got a 90%I got 100%

But knowing where in the Constitution to look for the specific rule is important why?Wow, you guys have to be married at least a year before you're allowed to get a divorce? Also from the UK and got 50%,I have never remotely taken much of an interest in American history.

Who has the power to declare war, what rights are guaranteed by the constitution, etc. I consider those very important. Maybe not to everyday life, but definitely to anyone who's old enough to vote. I mean, apparently our last president didn't even understand that first one...
I don't know, call me old fashioned, but I feel that having a decent understanding of the constitution should be required for everyone in America. Our government is built on the idea that governments should be afraid of the people rather than the other way around, but how can we instill fear into the government and keep them honest if we don't even know what they can and can't do to begin with? What if someone tries to restrict free speech? Sure, people like me will fight to the death over it, but how many people would sit idly by and say "oh, well I'm sure it's in the best interests of the country. Besides, They're allowed to, they're the government!"

I mean, these laws were written by man, do you think those original men were the only ones capable of such thought?
