Make a list of financial difficulties this has caused you, like your time away from work, extra time at your therapist, and prescribed medication from your doctor for all of your headaches and sue the city for employing inept public servants that caused this upon you.LOXO7
I can't possibly claim financial hardship, I'm retired (not social security retired, just "done enough" retired) so I didn't miss work, and my meds are bought off this one guy I know.
Wouldn't work.
DA does that.....and for anything minor....like this..it's ridiculous to hire an attorney.[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"][QUOTE="WhiteKnight77"]
Did the judge drop the charges or did the prosecutor?

I'm a businessman. I'm mostly retired now but every once in a while I put a bid or two in just to keep my name out there should I ever decide to return full-time. Once my parents pass (not wishing it upon them, but they aren't in the best of health) I might decide to get back into my career full-tilt. A charge of 'Criminal Trespassing' may make some think twice about letting me on their property to do my job.

I can tell you that your attorney didn't affect the outcome.....your waste of money....not mine.I can tell you that your attorney didn't affect the outcome.....your waste of money....not mine.LJS9502_basic
He's the only one I had to talk to. He talked to the prosecutors and got the photos to them (he even took the photos himself, as I have no camera, never needed one), so he did his job. $175 because the case was of minimal complexity and less than 30 minutes. Can't complain.

I think you did the right thing by getting a lawyer. From the sound of it, he did actually do some work to convince the prosecutors and/or court not to pursue it. IMO, $175 is better than a record, even a minimal one.
Funny how this is actually sort of a necro thread.
But I'm rather baffled about how such an incident can affect your record. Is'nt that somewhat overzealous and counterproductive?

Convictions create a record.Â

Yeah, that's obvious but, as I said, is'nt that a bit overzealous and counterproductive?Â
Sounds to me like living in the wrong area, is potentially detrimental to your carreer.
