Who the hell tells someone "Ok, in three months, meet here and IMA GO BOOOOOOM HEADSHOT." It doesn't work like that. It probably won't happen and is just a threat so you stay away from his girlfriend.

He's arrogant. He told me he's gonna give me 3months to train. DirtyHarry1988Well then, you have 3 months to bang his girlfriend. If you're going to get beat up you may as well have done something.
dont take this fight. Some guy 2 years my senior challenged me to a fight in college because I was talking to his girlfriend during lunch too much. Yup, he actually went after me and not his girlfriend. Of course it couldn't be that I needed help with assignments, I *had* to be flirting with his girlfriend.. Best part is i'm not even single.
Anyway it's in March. I'm not afraid or anything, but he's 5'10, i'm 5'5. I'm also about 65% of his weight. I took Krav Maga for 6months, 4x a week, and I practiced Hung Gar for about a year and a half almost 2, but those were forms; I've never actually applied them in a fight.
This guy is supposedly a brown belt in BJJ; should I be worried? He's 20, i'm 18.

[QUOTE="the_ChEeSe_mAn2"]Have you tried getting his GF to talk some sense into him? I don't think he would be that vain. Or alternatively you could, you know, attempt to learn the material on your own and become less dependent on her to learn the subject matter.DarthkaiserOr fight And what will that exhibition of juvenile behaviour achieve?

Okay; since you've trained for so long; here goes. I used to work for a guy who ran his own fighting gym. Let me tell you; fighting inside the gym and outside are two completely different things. You'll be so aggressive outside you won't even remember the simple jab, hook, reverse combos. You'll practically be swinging your arms around; unless you know how to keep your cool during battles. Secondly, you guys are mature now; cut it out and grab a drink maybe? Thirdly, what i learned from Krav Maga two years ago wasn't just self defense, it was defend and kill. So, you never know how far you might go. Although if you really want to; let me help you out. a) Stay focused, stay up. It's not rocket science, but it becomes a difficult task in CQB situations. b) DON'T anticipate the enemy's attacks; just cover up the areas of your body which are he most vulnerable. Now to the fight. If you are able to observe a) and b) properly, this WILL be a breeze. He jabs, you move your head to the left (if it's his right hand, and vice versa of course) in the quarter of a second, take his fist into your right hand and his elbow into your left. Pull his hand behind his back and jerk it up quickly, you hear a pop sound? You've dislocated it. Second scenario, you are in verbal confrontation with him. Things get dirty, shove your palm into his nose. Cheers. I've covered the two most common things your enemy will do; be warned; these work; and may cause....okay? Also, it's for amateurs, meaning if he's a real real baddie, he'll work his way through you; this won't be effective. Happy fighting. TRAIN HARD!
BJJ...BROWN BELT? If this dude is not exaggerating/lying, mate you are screwed if you seriously take this fight. I think what people don't realise is BJJ is not karate, where you earn your black belt in like 2 months and brown belt is one below black belt...which is a big deal in the BJJ world. I've been training/rolling BJJ for a couple of months and have sparred with 1 or 2 brown belts; they were goddamn good. If this 'fight' actually happens, it will probably be some wannabe MMA style fight and he will probably lay down rules like no eye gouging, nut shots, throat shots etc, so goodbye krav maga. Listening and reading to a couple of fight tips on a gaming forum telling you to do stuff like attack the ribs and crap isn't going to do you ANY good at all against someone who continously spars/fights every week. He will tackle you, put you on your ass and beat the crap out of you or just put you to sleep; both real sucky.
My suggestion is you confront him and talk to him and don't take the fight, if he does anything to you, thats assault. That guy is the real loser here not you for challenging someone smaller, younger and less experienced in a combat sport.

WOWWOWOW when did you put that BJJ thing? dont take that fight! seriously dont take it unless you bring a gun or a pack of trained pittbulls brown belt is the belt before black belt
This is the most ridiculous thing I've heard, seen, or read this week. You're in college, not 5th grade. I would just blow the guy off. He obviously has problems.
Approach him the day prior to the fight, break his legs and tell him that if he harasses you again you'll kill him.
Don't be weak, send a message.
Edit: Oh wait, I saw he fights Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I'd back away, unless you're pretty confident you're ready to rip his balls off with Krav Maga.
Except that could also land him in prison for a very long time.Approach him the day prior to the fight, break his legs and tell him that if he harasses you again you'll kill him.

Serious guy is serious, hm?
Odds are this is all bulland someone made a topic for laughs. Who comes to ask advice concerning a fight on a gaming forum, anyway?!

****. You have a point. Especially cause he's just bloody annoying and I want to get him off my back, not kill him.
Honestly looking the responses here, I'm starting tothink he's notgoing to fight me at all. I'm FIVE inches shorter than he is, not to mention 45-60lbs lighter.. and 2 years younger too. He's just a bully, and bullies are cowards. He's probably not going to do anything because I think if he beats me up his girlfriend will dump his ass.
Why do you have to accept the challenge? It's not like you were flirting, or that you have any chance of even winning.Amber084There is no challenge to accept. I was "warned" that I'm going to be in a fight with him in 3months time. Wasn't a question. He was 'notifying' me of an upcoming fight I never agreed to.
Wow, is this what it is coming to nowadays? People are actually setting aside future dates months ahead to fight eachother over something so dumb? Are you guys fighting at a catch-weight too? Call him an idiot and if he wants to fight do it then and there, or leave you alone. Ghost_702Hey hey, I heard its on PPV as well? wanna grab some beer and I could order the fight in my crib. Everyone is invited. Bring ladies of course :)
On the real, tell the police, if you seriously want to win this "Fight", I suggest you go train MMA style right now.Bloodseeker23Win this fight? I don't even want to fight this fight. I just want my distinction for the class.
You're in college? Grow up. Tell him to eff off. If he assaults you, press charges and take his money.BrozekialThe thing is I don't even want to get beaten up. I know, don't throw a punch at all, let him beat you up badly, go to hospital and sue. Sounds great, except if I get beaten up badly and crap I'm gonna miss my exams and classes and such.

But if you fail the classes on account of him, you can sue him for the tuition costs and MAYBE (not sure how this works within the school) get to retake the exams. This isn't middle school. You're an adult, start acting like it. If he whoops your ass, depending on the injuries, he'll be ending up in jail. Not to mention the fact that it was premeditated. How old are you anyway? Buy some pepper spray.
