[QUOTE="surrealnumber5"]not really, Hitler did not get to his position by being a nice guy, Night of Broken Glass is the first thing that comes to mind.UCF_KnightYou're right, he didn't. In fact he was given his position and had less than a third of the nation's support. :P So not only does our nation's election eliminate any comparisons between Obama and Hitler but so does Hitler's actions and personality.
Hitler was favored for his efforts during world war one. The people liked him at first, but by the time all of the damage was done it was too late. People didn't it take itseriously, not until it was a disaster.
EVEN if Obama wanted to be a Hitler the only way it could ever happen would be if U.S citizens stopped being U.S citizens. Why do you think we are armed to the teeth and are loyal to freedom, NOT him northem? Because if they try any **** we'll kill all of them and we make sure they don't forget that. Their military won't protect them either. No matter what the government or military says soldiers are citizens first. Orders are orders but foul orders forfeit command therefore whoever follows those orders will be joing whoever issued them.
You shouldn'tlet people forget why we are the way we are, because " **** you scumbag! " is what makes U.S citizens U.S citizens. Sovereignty is our protection our fail safe. So as long we continue practicing sovereignty nobody can go Hitler on this country. But I do worry because a country is only as strong as it's citizens. I know for a fact that most are terrified by a gun to their head or the possibility of being stabbed. It never bothered me but it turns many people pale. So during a possible Hitler scenario how many people could be terrorized into doing someone else's bidding? How many dumbass citizens would support the government because they wouldthink they are obligated to? How many of them rather just let it slideand grow stronger while hoping it will stop or someone will save them? How many of them would rather die than allow it to happen?
So no matter what is written on some paper... the will of the citizens is what keeps a country stong. Their combined willdictates the fate of their country. If you want freedom you must always protect it, even fromthe people who are appointed to run the country.
There's no danger of Obama taking over this country or any other president for that matter, as long as the country is backed by people that won't let anybody **** with them. As long as practice of soverignty and warrant run this country and the citizens make sure it remains that way no president will ever turn the Union into another Nazi Germany.
Well... if they keep moving them they won't be where we initially thought they were. That's provisions 101. You don't let your enemy capture your equipment. ESPECIALLY if you know they are coming for it.Plus they want the U.S of their asses so they are gonna make sure we don't find it. We won't ever catch them read handed as long as we keep declaring where we are going and keep operating with one region. That just gives them plenty of warning far in advance and plenty of time to another region.MagnumPI
There are no WMDs, and there never were any. Even the bush administration itself gave up on trying to perpetuate that lie.
When Bush was in office the majority of the populus wasn't starving, they weren't on welfare, they didn't have government medical care. They weren't being conditioned to be dependent on their leader for basic necessities. The things that most people will kill anyonefor.
The majority of the people aren't starving and aren't on welfare now. And we have no more government healthcare than we've had for several decades. This comment shows you to be misinformed.

You don't know what they have nor what they don't have. And admittance is often simply telling people what they want they hear.Harass and annoy anyone long enough and they will tell you what you want hear. But in that caseyou are the fool, not them.
The U.S should have never responded with convential forces. It should have been soley covert because that the subjects would know where we were gonna hit or when. They wouldn't even know when and if we were operating in the area. There's a reason they call it "Counter Terrorism, it's NOT anti-terrorism.
U.S society islargely to blame anyway. Because they let people become so complacent andtimid that they allow people to take them hostage. If someone threatens your life or is disturbed enough to kill others you take that cutterjam it in his throat.
They let a few men take over planes with box cutters. And speaking of being taken hostage with a box cutter... If that many peoplewere affraid of being cut by abox cutter how many U.S citizens would let the U.S government take the country hostage if the governmentwere to wave guns around and threatened to kill anyone who resisted? Of course the government would have to go completely rogue first but it makes you wonder.

Not because of some Byzantine scheme on the part of the administration to somehow placate the American people by confirming that the costly war was fought for incorrect reasons.

So, one doesn't make it acceptable. Flight 93 doesn't excuse the others.
Yeah, we wouldn't want someone who caused the death of over 60 million people to have a bad day.Tell her to stop making comparisons that would offend Hitler

omg some americans......... lol ( no insult intened )
i know we got crazy people world over but i never heard anyone call steven harper mr hitler
Throw a copy of Mein Kampf at her face and tell her to learn the **** up.And no, I'm not joking. She won't shut up about it either, all I'm hearing right now in the background is "the Anti-Christ is here" blahblahblah! I've tried everything I can to make her stop, but she won't. OT, what should I do? Earmuffs? Pillows? SOMETHING?

So your mom is racist?The_Weird_GuyOf course, he's black and she dislikes him so it MUST be the fact that he's black. I just can'timagine anotherreason as towhy someonewouldn't like him. Although I assume it's safe to say there are many people that don't like him simply because he is black.
If anything just tell her how downright asinine that is, and that she's making herself sound like a complete idiot. Comparing anyone to Hitler is an easy way to discredit anything you say.

It's not him that needs to grow up in that house..
Very true.It sort of impedes your disgusting implication that the 9/11 victims were somehow responsible for their fate.[QUOTE="MagnumPI"] Flight 93 doesn't excuse the others.

Most people didn't expect them to crash the planes. Almost all air hijackings up to that point involved ransom, or was used by some criminals get out of the country. Flight 93 fought back because they figured out that they were going to use the planes as suicide missiles. If they other passengers on the other planes knew about the terrorists' true intentions, they'd have done the same.

And why would they. Up until 9/11, the notion of using commercial airplanes as suicide bombs was almost non-existent. The Lockerbie bombing is the only one I can think of, and that obviously never reached a target. Please Log In to post.
