holy crap I had no idea there could be so many aftershocks.
Ya i felt it. I live in Los Angeles and it felt like a wierd swaying. it was kinda like if you were dizzy. At first I thought it was just me, then my boyfriend was like "It's an Earthquake!" It lasted long.

So apparently it was a deep quake which fortunately greatly reduces the damage it can cause, but unfortunately it appears to be setting off a series of quakes in other faults. A series of 3s and 4s have hit the surrounding Baja area and a 5.1 has just hit the desert area a little East of the Oceanside/San Diego area.
Apparently not. Everything seems to be in tact although some reports of people trapped in elevators are arising. Damn that's gotta be scary. Yeah I would be going ape **** if that happened to me.[QUOTE="Duckman5"][QUOTE="Doolz2024"]So is there any serious damage or anything?Pirate700
I always wonder what tourists think since many people aren't used to earthquakes. I mean yes we are used to them since we live in SoCal but it's still a bit nerve racking when it's kinda big.7th aftershock. I thought my shelves were going to come down on this one. I'd be the calm one getting annoyed with the scared one lol. I hate people that panic.

I felt dizzy too. :P That was the wierdest feeling earthquake I've ever felt. It was like a gentle rocking but I felt like I was uneasy or dizzy. Ugh I can't image the people living closer to the action.Yeah I would be going ape **** if that happened to me.[QUOTE="Duckman5"][QUOTE="Pirate700"]Damn that's gotta be scary.

I'm normally the same way but if I was trapped in an elevator with the building continuously shaking, I'd more than likely be one of the panicked.I've been in a few but I don't remember any of them (cause I was like my birth-3 years old). Question though, what happens when you drive during an earthquake? Like do you have to stop? Or can you drive continuously?
I believe you are encouraged to pull over until the shaking stops if you are in a clear area.I've been in a few but I don't remember any of them. Question though, what happens when you drive during an earthquake? Like do you have to stop? Or can you drive continuously?

Luckily we only have very few earthquakes here in Germany. But i remember waking up one morning to a long low rumbling sound, i thought it was a rolling thunder or an airplane, only later i found out it was a weak earthquake...

I seriously say you get outside for a while dude where buildings can't fall on you.8th aftershock. Never experienced anything like this. Hell the world may end today at this rate.

I dunno. I suppose there's the chance this could string into something but back in the '80s we had a decent quake and the aftershocks lasted for weeks and I started to wonder when it would all stop but of course eventually they did. We'll see I suppose. The 5.1 is the first upscale quake from the smaller 3s and 4s so hopefully nothing will get bigger than that.
