You don't get them? Yeah we do, but nothing more than the rare magnitude 3-4 quake.[QUOTE="ghoklebutter"]It's nice to be in Northern California.Pirate700
and yet so many people don't get out of town that it makes me cry on the inside every timeI'll take my hurricanes over earthquakes any day. We can see those coming. :P

Indeed. My family and I used to be one of those. Ivan however...changed us. Category 4 and up, we're gone.
Yeah we do, but nothing more than the rare magnitude 3-4 quake. What do you call the SF quake in the 80s? I've only been here for 2 years. :P[QUOTE="ghoklebutter"][QUOTE="Pirate700"]You don't get them?

If you live in socal you must have been in a coma or something.[QUOTE="Wanderer5"]
There was a earthquake? That weird I didn't feel it. Where was it exactly?
Pirate700
Lol, when did it happened? If it happened before 9:30ish this morning, then I was asleep.

Where do you live?I felt it. Everyone in my house just thought they were dizzy because it was so gentle and rolling, as if you were on a boat. It wasn't very violent at all. Wasn't too bad.
I read a comment on yahoo from someone who believes that this marks the second coming of christ, and had some bible quotes to "back it up".

Where do you live?I live in Agoura Hills which is near Thousand Oaks and Moorpark which are north of LA. I was in TO around 3:00 (which was the time of the earthquake it seems).

That's your problem. You're in northern LA. Here in SD you could feel all 7 points of it. It lasted forever too. With these earthquakes all over the world, it's only a matter of time before my Vancouver gets hit :oToriko42
Yup, we're next...

I've always wondered how it's like to be in an earthquake. I slept through a minor one a long time ago when I was on vacation in Iran, but here in Houston, all I've been through are hurricanes. =\dk00111How does Houston get hurricanes when it's pretty much in the middle...
I was just in Mexicali all last week for a Missions Trip. Pretty trippy, I missed the quake by a little less than 48 hours. I pray that everyone down there is safe, including the churches I spent time working at throughout last week.
Those are foreshocks, get ready for the real one. :P
I didn't feel a thing, I live in California too.
You have been living here for 21 years and this is the worst? I have been here for 20 years and this isnt the worst. The 1992 7.3 was worse and a lot closer.Just had another after shock. In my 21 years of living here I've never felt one like this. :o
Pirate700
Don't even joke about that. :OJust had another big one. California must be about to dissolve into the sea.
