no no no... there are no ties between old and new star wars movies.. I guess the best way to say it is that of the older movies Episode 6 is my fav, and of the newer movies Episode 3 is my fav.
Return of the Jedi is my favorite.. Having the battle of Endor go on at the same time as the epic space battle AND Luke facing off against Darth Vader.. yup was my favorite.
I would say ESB>RotS>ANH>RotJ>AotC>TPM. But Blue Harvest, Something Something Something Darkside and It's a Trap are a million times better than all of them.
Ok, Empire Strikes Back is probably the best movie in the series. That said though, Revenge of the Sith is not far behind. Anakin's last words to Obi Wan on Mustafar, always touched me the greatest. "I hate you."
I'd probably go with Return of the Jedi. I know the Ewoks were stupid but really people need to get over them.

I thought they were awesome and kicked ass.
I liked them but I thought they were stupid because they were just so.....KEEEEEUUUUTTT...rofl
I think the main reason they were hated on is due to how easily they whooped the Stormtroopers with bow n arrows, spears and rocks even though the Empire had better weapons, and how they hardly killed any Ewoks for that matter, these are the same troops who won at Hoth.

Aye. I think a fair bit of the fanbase needs to come to terms with the fact that the SW series is QUITE campy. They need to get over jar jar, the ewoks, and the "poor"/campy delivery of dialogue. It's just part of the Star Wars films.
