[QUOTE="swizz-the-gamer"]Why? Paying to see naked woman. What does it matter if your putting money into their thong or sending it over paypal. Still looking at woman like pieces of meat. Jandurin

for one, porn is free.

for two, porn can be done in the relative safety of their own whatever.

for three, porn is generally less about dancing, and more about sex.

Now, if you just mean the moral problems one might have with displaying one's body nude, they're comparable, but otherwise, they're different acts that take place in completely different ways and have completely different rules governing how they're paid for.

Your funding the INDUSTRY that produces child porn, snuff films.etc. You really think it's an honest good buisness? It's easy to be detached from the woman in porn, but they are just woman. Porn is in no way safer or less demeaning than stripping.

Demeaning I can't argue with, safer, I can.

They can film the porn wherever.

I know nothing about this child porn or snuff film nonsense.

Why wouldn't it be a good business? It's what fuels the ****ing internet.

To begin I'm not a kid. I'm probably even older than you are. Secondly if prostitution is so bad then why is it legalized and respected in Amsterdam? They realized no matter what you do there is always going to be prostitition? So instead of denying it they made it legal and unionized, with standards and health checks. They realized that people will do it no matter what, so it might as well be safe for both parties involved. So now women who CHOOSE to do it are entitled to a health care plan, benefits and get checked on regularly as they should. Because that is the smart and responsible way of doing it. Instead of denying what is going on, and shunning them, pushing them underground and making it more dangerous for everyone involved.

Case Closed.

Nwordjohn

I don't change my views to be accepted by other people which is something I think you're doing. and I think it's sad... I pity you... at least people like me for who I am and I don't have to be a hypocrite and pretend to be okay with something when I'm really not just to be socially accepted. Thankfully!

I think thats exactly what you're trying to do. You're trying to belittle me by calling me young and uninformed when really I think Amsterdam has the best approach to drugs and prostitution. I'm not trying to be socially accepted at all as I think if we were to legalize and monitor prostitition it would be better for all parties involved. It would insure you won't catch a disease from them, as well as that they won't be kidnapped and murdered (Robert Pickton). You are just denying what these people do for a living, and believe that they should not be accepted as people. I'd also like for you to point out where I was being hypocritical, because last time I checked my argument the whole time has been that prostitution should be legalized, monitored and carefully regulated.

Before you talk about Holland, where are you from? Holland might be the best country to apply public rights and freedoms but it's the worst when it comes to women's rights and this is something I have studied. How can you allow yourself to tell a female that prostitution is a decent way to make money? I'm not arguing about whether it was legal or not as I'm telling you it does not make it right. You know what would this result in? People in other nations are complaining about the declining of education and you're saying prosititues should be treated and respected just as lawyers? Just as people who swallow books and endure touching other people with a zillion disease and take several injections every months and work their ass off? Equal with people who pay college fees for years to get a damn degree in something and then get a job? Excuse me but you're logic is messed up! and you're beginning to scare me!

Are you implying that going to school to become a lawyer makes you a better person than someone who chooses their own career as a prostitute? Need I remind you in Holland they are choosing to become prostitiutes, not being forced into it by a pimp who beats them. This is what they do to make money to feed their children, themselves and pay for their necessities. Just because they didn't go to a Law school for five years to defend murderers and rapists doesn't make them a bad person.

As I said I support legalizing prostitution so there won't be people getting touched with "a zillion diseases". They would be taken care of medically and financially, while also having a benefits package. It would be better then denying a profession that has been around since Babylon.

Lawyers don't only defend murderes and rapists and this is a constitutional principal which forces countries to apply the right for criminals to defend themselves by providing a lawyer and a trial in a normal* no military* court.

Which brings me back to the many ways people can express themselves through UPDATE make money through and those ways can be low or decent and that is a subjective matter. According to Nwordjohn, when there's a new country, the BEST way to make it in the lead is by offering job vacancies and what jobs are better than prostitution. What a great leader! The productivity of prostiution is bastards and sexual transmitted disease when the productivity of going to a college or getting a job else where which anyone can do nowadays is building an entire country. Even trash men help raising the productivity of a country Nwordjohn!

You must have a degree in taking things out of context. I stated clearly, as I will again that I support prostitution being legalized on the grounds that it is closely monitored and they are inspected regularly. That gets rid of your disease argument. As for creating "bastards", that has no grounds what so ever as you can't give a proper definition of a bastard. Did I once say a whole country's economy should be based on it? No. Did I say that a country should realize that its going to happen, legal or illegal, and it would be best for the sake of the women who do it to be medically inspected regularly and protected by the law? Yes.

Trying to take the moral high ground on this by dismissing them as whores and diseases is unjustified.

By zillion disease I meant doctors. if you know what a doctor's job is...

If a country made it ok to steal then everybody will... does that tell you something? OMG XD So if I send someone to kill you you wouldn't call me a whore right? :P

It is not safer. So many pornstars have contracted HIV. Agents of female pornstars are about as disgusting as they come and will put women in unsafe, threatening environments for our entertainment. It's a corrupt and dirty business, don't try and say it's any better than the stripping business.

The pornstars should pick better representation, then. I could go get a job getting crabs on those fishing boats and almost certainly get injured.

Should we not eat crabs?

Your argument just lost all validity. For one that quote makes no sense, as doctors get paid to take care of people. I forgot that legalized prostitutes no longer count as people. As for comparing it to stealing and murdering those are two different crimes that have no comparison to the topic were on.

Somebody killing me is them willfully causing damage to another person. Someone picking up and paying for a woman to have sex with them can only damage themselves, and if it was legalized the chance of them hurting themselves would be minimalized.

Any more points for me to tear you on?

Are you supposed to beat strippers or hookers? I can't remember but stripping is a job. It isn't exploitation and it sure isn't self expression. It's just a way to pay the bills for most women

Morally, no. I still feel like there's, and honestly, I'm talking out of my ass, a higher likely incidence of mistreatment/drug abuse for strippers.

The UN is one of the worst organizations going as it promotes global governance and the loss of national sovereignity. I'm sure you knew this though, because you're self-labeled "smart". Thank you for the destruction of nations in the names of all national super-state and a global governance. Because that is exactly what we need, not a bunch of corrupt politicians running the planet, only a select few super-elite who control it all.

A way to exploit women or a beautiful form of self-expression?

What are your thoughts on strippers? From an objective point of view, what is your opinion?

Is stripping simply a cheap way to exploit women and add to the problem of women being seen as only sex objects, or is stripping a form of art...the tool used simply being the human body?

Your thoughts?

I find stripping establishments and strippers in general to be fairly unsavory and not really something I enjoy mainly due to the types of women who make this a career and the types of men who attend. I don't however find the situation to be exploitative in any way as both participants are completely willing to contribute to the situation.

That being said, that art of stripping can be a beautiful art of self-expression if done correctly and with the proper mindset. There's been a revival in the art of burlesque stripping over the last ten years and the environment of these perfomances is 180 degrees different than that of a local strip joint. The burlesque perfomer Dita Von Teese has been a big influence on getting the movement started and groups like Lucha Va Voom have thrived on people's appetite for the lost art of teasing.

You were talking about tax lawyers. How do tax lawyers make a business corrupt, exactly?

I've never said they make a business corrupt. Hell if I was to be one, I'd be flying over the moon.

Paying taxes is your duty as a citizen because your getting benefits from the services the country is offering. Where's the corruption in conducting taxes? The treasury of the us is built on taxes.

You said "say that to the tax lawyers". As if they were the ones deserving of such ire. Why?

Yeah! Those people are full of prejudicies! It's not our problem that we're rich enough and smart enough to join law schools  a joke!

Anyways, tax people who are theives are smart people since they know how to make people pay for everything. My advice for you is to live in a narrow space because it saves water and electricity. Ok guys I'm off to somewhere... Had a great time and SORRY if I offended anyone.

I dont have a problem with women stripping to make some cash that they need...its a sad situation but I respect their profession. The exploitation works both ways and in the end, its just business.

If the women are enjoying what they do then I guess its fine...its a job. Whether its an art depends on how much she enjoys it and more importantly, how much the men watching enjoy it. Personally, I havent been to a strip club and dont intend to...The men who go to stripclubs probably fall into the following categories:

- The first timers, due to recent divorce/broken relationship/Bachelors party, pushed on by friends

- Middle aged men bored at home/work and dont know how to operate a computer

- The rich trying to find someone for the night

Nobody will be there to appreciate the 'art' of stripping unfortunately...But if your girlfriend does it in front of you at home, its a different story :D

Well, its an exploitation of beauty on the woman's part, but why anyone would wanna do that for a living is far beyond my comprehension.

Then again, maybe this isn;t something I can't talk about, as I never have (or will) go to a stripclub...to me, its just...the epitome of pathetic, no offense intended (although very well recieved, I'm sure)...

I see it from both sides to be honest. Some women generally enjoy it, and in a respectful way. But some are trying to support kids, and get objectified night in and night out...

If a women is content with using her body solely for monetary gain, that's her prerogative. Personally I find it distasteful, detached, and insincere which largely removes the beauty and eroticism of the female form. Watching my girlfriend strip is satisfying as her intentions are sincere and that makes her all the more beautiful.

Objectively, here ya go:
