UN observers have counted at least 90 bodies, including 32 children, after a Syrian government attack on a town.
Syria's government has blamed the deaths on "armed terrorist gangs".

So much for the cease fire.

I guess the UN and other foreign observers aren't helping to prevent Assad from destroying his own country.
Where is the international help? This whole situation is being ignored by the UN and co.SteverXIIIignored by the UN? no, its been on the top of the list for months. The problem is Russia and China vetoing every resolution that would have any real progress
If the insurgents stop fighting then the government wouldn't have to attack them. This is the armed insurgents' fault.Crunchy_NutsWhy are the insurgents fighting the government?

Assad has been killing protestors all over the country for months before the free syrian army ever materialized. you're an idiot

I wouldnt consider it a civil war just yet. The opposition may assassinate some lieutenants here and there, or attack a army barracks, but the fighting has been one sided in favour of the regime.quite sad , but this is a civil war , its not uncommon for these things to happen.

[QUOTE="Ravensmash"]So when is NATO or the UN going to do anything about Syria? Wasdie
Probably never. It's election time in the USA so don't count on any support from the USA and the UK and France just blew their budget on Lybia.
Eh. Just help facilitate the transfer of weapons from Libya to Syria. They have a huge arsenal of small arms, machine guns, rockets, ammunition, and what not (certainly far larger per capita than Syria's).
Culling of humans is required, it should happen more often and everywhere in the world before we populate the earth too much and we all end up eating each other because we'll have eaten all the animals and be suffocating because we cut down all the trees for homes and living space.JohnF111

You know, the funny thing about people who always make this argument is that who told them they or anybody else are excluded? I mean unless those people and everybody they care about are scientists, I don't see how this argument won't affect them.Funny how people attack Israel and want the Arabs to take it over, and yet ignore all the barbaric violnence that happens in these Arab Cultures. People are such hypocrites.
Funny how that works. Especially considering that Israel would NEVER do a massacre of children or anything similar, they value human rights.
Can't say the same for some of the Arab countries as this thread proves.

It's the truth, your the one who is embarrassed by it.
I feel terrible for these children, I hate that these things happen. The fact remains that many of there cultures are backwards and ran by brutal dictators. That is the truth. I see so many people on here attack Israel and say it's a bad country and side with the Arabs over the Jews, but then they ignore the fact that no massacre like this would ever happen in Israel.
They don't do that, people have rights there. It's completely hypocritical for them to be against Israel and then ignore what Arab countries do. I don't know the best solution to solving the problems in the Middle East. It's a very tribal like society, I don't think there will be peace for a long time. The UN is going to have to crack down on them and make sure this kind of viloence never happens again.
They have a European Union, why not have a Middle Eastern Union with Israel at the helm? They would have to follow Israels example and become Democracies, or they would be black listed and wouldn't have any support from the Union.
That would solve a lot of problems.
