Teacher has sex with 13 year old student daily ..

Well this case is only going to get bigger on the media. She is 24, and her student was 13. I have to say she's nuts. Why would she want to have a relationship with a 13 year old boy ? And the students parents were ok with this ? They knew about the relationship, and they had no problem ? What ! At one point he got her pregnant. Wowee !

I would be furious as a parent. I think there is obviously something wrong with her.

We know how this thread will go so lets get to the part where we say that if the roles were reversed there would be an even bigger outrage. The kid couldn't (legally) consent so throw her in jail.

Exactly, i just don't get how parents are ok with this ? They might get some sort of punishment too the court says because they did not report it. She does look young for a teacher, physically i mean.

2 things that blow my mind about this article.

1. She was ok with having sex with a 13 year old as if this was normal and he got her pregnant.

2. The parents are ok with this and was supportive about the whole situation. What the hell is wrong with them?!

Nah, the thing that gets me is that apparently she was going to actually have the baby of this 8th grader with the support of the boy's parents and only decided to abort the child after being questioned by Child Protective Services. That's fucked up.

All I can say is at 13 I would have been totally fine with it.

I don't know what I find most messed up about this.

The kids parents being supportive of this... She found it okay to sleep with a 13 year... And have his baby... Only to abort it after child protective services show up.

It's like winning a lottery I guess. You have one with no problems being with someone who is 10+ years younger, a minor, and his parents accept and supports it.

She must go to jail. Law is the law. What kind of parents are ok with it. Furthermore, these things ALWAYS end badly. You have a relationship with one of your students and you think you can keep it a secret? His classmates, the faculty, etc. will always blow the whistle.

And the kid was in the eighth grade. You were gonna keep it a secret in a public high school for 4 years. Put her in jail.

So your logic is that the only problem here is that it's against the law? The teacher-student relationship doesn't bother you? Or the adult-child relationship? The parents consenting is ok with you as well?

And your last sentence? First of all I am a proponent of using the Holy Bible as a moral compass. Matter of fact it IS my moral compass. Putting that to the side however, how else are civilized people in a free country with varying beliefs going to come to a consensus regarding some basic morals if not by the law? Coin flips?

Back in my days, if you actually met the right teacher, you can go to pretty dark places but shit like that was rare to come by, I was one lucky kid back then.

Funny because if you go to the link provided to her facebook, there is a really young looking guy in some of the photos with what looks to be a very poor attempt at a mustache and goatee; I'm wondering if that is the kid. Some guys mature very very young physically so it would not be unrealistic, but not surprising, for the kid to maybe look a bit older than he is.

Seriously though, provided it was consensual, I don't think cases like this are as damaging as people might think. I mean yeah kids are still growing, especially mentally, but sex is just sex and provided it's not rape or some sort of mind game where the older person coerces them, not a big deal imo.

Sex is just sex until there are consequences, and there there were consequences. Part of being an adult, it knowing where to draw the line. I have myself passed on it several time due to consequences. Consequences are everything to an adult, which she was. Especially being a teacher, the responsibility is enormous.

So earlier you said you have met people that have claimed they had sex while they where in 4th grade. Is this acceptable to you? In 4th grade I was about 10 years old.

I guess what I'm trying to understand is how do you define when a kid is actually being abused? And what do you mean by " without favoritism"? Would you be ok if your 10 year old son/daughter had sex with a 35 year old if your kid claimed he/she was "happy"?

So, basically, this means you also approve of pedophilia? If you had a 4 year old daughter and someone had sex with her, would you be ok with it if she seemed to enjoy herself? I can't fathom how someone could hold such a reprehensible opinion.
