That feature was added not too long ago. All banned users' avatars are reset when they get banned. I guess by adding a feature like that it prevents people from seeing a user's avatar that might have been offensive. His avatar wasn't offensive but there are people who've had some dirty stuff in the past.

I guess by adding a feature like that it prevents people from seeing a user's avatar that might have been offensive. His avatar wasn't offensive but there are people who've had some dirty stuff in the past.

GameSpot's moderators punish you for the simplest things.To them,anything you say means you flame,you spam,you troll,or whatever.Like pretty much anyone else here,I do believe our mods are terrible at their position.I mean,they can never even take an HONEST opinion, about them,so I wouldn't be surprised if I got suspended for this post. =/Yaeven

It's very easy to think that the punishment for a moderation is unjustified if you have no access to the context or history. If there's one thing I've found that people are good at who get moderated, it's leaving out key details that lead to the moderation.

That used to be my mentality,trust me.Whenever someone complained about even just a moderation I would sigh and think to myself: I think what the mods did was justified and these people are being too childish and immature not to accept they failed to follow the ToU.

But if there's one thing I've found is that people were right after all.I learned from personal experience after one day out of nowhere all these moderations started coming right after me and haunting my dreams,for the most laughable reasons.

And this one time a mod actually admitted that I shouldn't have been punished,that the moderation wasn't justified enough.But of course,it was too late,no one could do anything about it and I just plain lost with no intentions of doing anything to offend the authorities around here.
