heh, i'm glad there are so many merciful people too offset my attitude since i hear a guy is mentally disadvantaged AND deadly dangerous and what i think is quick somebody get me a pillow i will do this myself for the good of mankind.

i mean sure it's horrible to say and whatever but come on.

why put fellow inmates and prison workers in danger just to soothe your bleeding heart?

Riverwolf007

Why trust the state, which, being a human institution, is terribly prone to error, with that kind of power just to soothe your need for vengeance?

i don't think there is one word in the silly ass shyt i just wrote that indicates a need for vengence.

i'm saying you put a mad dog down to protect people in the future, i could care less about what the mad dog did to get caught.

He was going to be in prison/psychiatric facility forever. The chances of him escaping is effectively zero, while the chances of him being innocent is higher.

and what kind of life is that for a non functional brain damaged killer?

brain damaged killers want to hunt and kill not be fed like a pet.

why can't you guys put yourselves in his place for one second?

you have empathy but it is misplaced by what you want not what a mad dog killer wants.

saving him may be as cruel as killing him but people can't see that because they do not have the ability to put themselves in his place.

sorry folks, you don't get to save people because it makes you feel better.

you do what is best for the person no matter what the best is.

not one person here ever said this guy may be better off dead and that is an oversight caused from only being able to empathize enough for what YOU want.

pretty selfish right?

Placing the dog in a cell for the rest of the life accomplishes the same end and isn't irrevocable should it be discovered that the state prosecuted the wrong man.

This might actually be one of the most dipsh*tted arguments for the death penalty I've ever heard.

I'm surprised by the amount of responses here supporting the death penalty on this retarded fellow. In fact, I'm surprised there's a lot of support for the death penalty itself despite the many flaws that go with it.

It's got nothing to do with being merciful or not. I simply do not trust the state with that kind of power.

ok i'm tired of playing devils advocate, if i am seriously talking serious about this serious problem then seriously the state is too incompetent to wield that kind of power and we all know they fuk it up all the time and it is better for a hundred guilty men to escape justice than one innocent man to be killed by mistake.
