and I think the perverted sex scenes are lame... The only Anime that knew how to nail that off was I Afro Samurai and I think something else.. I hate it when all those anime act liek they dunno how to kiss girls or something but they know how to kill people lol :P

Manga: One Piece (I read it for it's original creativity and characters and the fact that it puts story in the forfront rather than fight after drawn out fight. This series also has great variety as they travel from one interesting island to the next)

D. Gray-Man (This is an on/off manga. It has some very boring points, but just as many top quality ones. I read it for those truely outstaning moments)

Bleach (I've read almost 400 chapters of this manga and had to stop because by the time I reached chapter 100 or so, I had to force myself to continue painfully. Never again!)

Anime: Basically Neon Genesis Evangelion. some crazy stuff there. both the One Piece and D. Gray-man animes are quite aweful

Well I'd love to join the discussion but the only anime I watch is DragonBall Z. I've been recently drawn back in, now that DragonBall Z Kai is airing. I'm not yet sure whether I like Z or Kai better, I definitely like the lack of fillers, and the new snazzy animations!ferrari2001

IMO the first 100 episodes of One Piece were amazing and hilarious, it really got me hooked on the series but after that the series really went downhill. That's just my opinion though, I'm still early onto the series, there are so many episodes it's hard to catch up O_o how can it possibly takes so long to get One Piece Dx.But Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood has been my favorite anime of all time for a while, it used to be Death Note, but maaan, FMAB was amazing O.O There wasn't a single episode that bored me. The characters, story (couldn't find any plot holes, the story is GREAT!) animation, action, make this anime my favorite, but Bleach is always the best for over-the-top fighting mayhem.

Naruto and Bleach are overrated to me. My favorite anime are One Piece and Clannad. Oh and by the way, Akira Toriyama is writing/drawing manga again. He has a one-shot manga available on mangastream.com. It's called Kintoki.

I just read it. Wow, it's pretty good. I hope it gets serialized :D. I would love it if Toriyama will draw manga again.

The only 2 manga series I own are Love Hina and Vision of Escaflowne... are those considered "good" amongst hardcore manga fans?

I think Love Hina is very funny... I normally cannot stand that type of humor(I don't want to say its Japanese humor, but I think manga fans no what I am talking about), but I think its really charming and fun...

Vision of Escaflowne is really good too...
