Almost every week the latest episode of Kill La Kill gets even better and better.
I've just started catching up. Didn't buy into hype, but this show is actually pretty tight.

I need to check this out as well. I was going to start Dexter Season 4 but hmmm might watch it on computer later.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica is probably one of the best animes ever written
This is an objective fact.
The first two eps are standard magical girl fare
then the third ep is 0.0
After a three years period of absolutely no anime whatsoever, I find myself with a great appetite for it. I recently finished TTGL and I'm half way through Samurai Champloo. TTGL was a fun light watch but I'm really in the mood for more Samurai anime depicting old traditional Japan. Do you guys have any recommendations for good Samurai animes? Ones with great art style, awesome fighting scenes, original story and very authentic feeling to them.
Rurouni Kenshin is an absolute must-watch if you haven't seen it already.

I've actually started watching Rurouni Kenshin already some two weeks ago :D
I watched the anime some 10 years ago on TV. I've always felt that I need to watch it again, given how I watched it dubbed in English which in my opinion is a sacrilege to anime, not to mention that my English was not all that great at the time so I'm positive I have not experienced the show properly. In fact I despise all kinds of dubs; any artwork should be experienced in its original language in order to preserve the authenticity of it.
I am glad to see this thread has lasted this long over the years. I got the thirty day free trial of Crunchyroll. I started watching Hunter X Hunter 2011 again and it is simply called Hunter X Hunter there.
I just checked in anidb and WTF? Hunter X Hunter has been remade!? Wow I can't believe I almost missed that news.
I've been out of the anime loop for the past 3 years and I'm finally back in action so I have a lot of catching up to do. I'm glad that I have such an extensive reservoir of great titles to keep me entertained for a while. From now on I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread so yea its great that its still going after all this time.
Finally up to the point where the latest episodes of Hunter X Hunter 2011 really starts to get that good again, yes @GazaAli you really do need to check the series out

I remember when it was out on Toonami. . Good times..
The English version of Attack of Titan has just started, I was wondering if anyone else has watched it? Loved the Japanese version and the series for what it was, after watching the first episode in English so far impressed on what actors they've got lined up plus Eren is voiced by Bryce Papenbrook same voicing for Zidane (Dissidia)

I saw it and watched the Japanese version. The dub wasn't perfect, but it was pretty good, especially with some characters (like Hannes). I hate how they were too skittish to openly reference alcohol in a show about man-eating giants.
In any case, I breathed a very loud sigh of relief when they announced that Eren's VA wasn't going to be JYB. A lot of people were speculating him, and it is Funimation. . .
I've found Knights of Sidonia to be pretty damn nifty. Going into episode 3 I've truly fallen in love with the art and setting of the series. A gem for this season. On the other hand Ping Pong is turning out to be more intense than I expected...

I still have to watch it. Im totally slacking.
Hm, is this discussion dead? I came here to ask if any of you have read Parasyte/Kiseijuu and have also checked out the anime (although only one episode has been released so far) or perhaps only watched what has been released of the anime so far and what you thought of it. Suppose I'll just wait and see if anybody replies to this post, haha.

Well, I actually want feedback on that anime too. It's Ufotable so it might be worth something.
There's been a ton of new Anime lined-up as well for Fall 2014, don't know if anyone has watched any of them yet. I've only watched Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works and Nanatsu no Taizai

The animation is jaw-dropping in Fate/Stay Night UBW. I knew it Ufotable will be able to pull off this one. The 2006's F/SN was an atrocity to mankind. Hopefully, UBW will be a different story. Haven't seen Nanatsu no Taizai, what's that about?
Haven't seen any animes in the past two months...nothing seems to be interesting at the moment -.- Was in the middle of Trinity Blood before the hiatus. Just wondering, is the first Fullmetal Alchemist series( the one that didn't follow the manga) any good? I watched Brotherhood, and it's one of the best I've watched...

Brotherhood is the best.
Guys go read Tokyo Ghoul,it's awesome.
The Tokyo Ghoul anime is in my plan-to-watch list.
read the manga here instead, it's much better
i thought this series was mediocre before tbh.
But once i read it,i know it's much better than the typical harem romance manga.

Nah I'm not really a manga or even comic fan. Thanks anyway! :P

Full Metal Alchemist is worth watching because its departure from the manga continuity is still a quality story. After you finish watch watching the show, the Conqueror of Shamballa completes that story.
@Gamerno6666: I read it as well this summer. Enjoyed it quite a bit, actually. The anime seems okay so far, though I suppose I'll just have to wait and see if it continues being enjoyable for me to watch. Hopefully it won't get "slaughtered" like the Tokyo Ghoul adaption. Anyway, I personally think there are far worse things you could be wasting your time on, so if you get bored one day, you could do worse.
Almost all the fall anime this year looks like trash, only ones that really caught my attention were Parasyte and Psycho-Pass 2. Speaking of Parasyte, I seen the first episode and it's pretty interesting. I'm going to check out the manga as soon as I can.
