had loads of fun watching this movie. If it wasn't for the half-dozen or so other movies coming out fairly soon I would totally throw more money the ticket seller and see the film a couple more times.
7 Euros is a problem? I paid $10 and it was worth it....Havent seen it yet. Theres something about giving 7euros for a 2h movies that doesnt go well with me. Hell, nowadays you can find games that will last you for days for the same price. I'll probably see it later on DVD.

8.5/10 Excellent action movie with humor added. Not sure why everyone picks on the story.....most movies don't actually have a deep story and a superhero movie is always going to be good vs bad. If they expect more.....then I don't know what to tell them. It's not the plot that's important but the journey through the movie. And it delivered.LJS9502_basic
Because some people don't see the movie for what it really is, a payoff.
When Marvel announced that there were working towards an Avengers movie, a lot of us made an investment into these characters and their individual movies. Avengers was the payoff for that investment. I think most of the people who are complaining about the story didn't make the initual investment.
This. People that go to these movies for a deep and engaging story are going to have a bad time. I went because I knew the actions sequences would be some of the best we've seen.Everything I expected and wanted in a blockbuster summer movie.
Great special effects. Funny dialogue. Big action set peices. Just fun overall.
Not sure what the haters were expecting. Apparently Citizen Kane.

Posted my opinion yesterday:
Watched it today, needless to say, it is absolutely astounding. I seriously can't stress that opinion enough either, it borderlines territories of being a masterpiece and is quite honestly poised to make a name for itself in movie history, not merely for being one of the biggest dares in production to ever face Hollywood, but for also succeeding with flying colors at it.
I'll say this just once - if you're on the fence, go see this movie. The movie has brilliant direction, even more brilliant writing. It's a testament to screenplay and cinematography as a whole, and I'd honestly call this one of, if not the greatest super hero movie ever made. Conflict, wit, despair, snark, humor, action, everything you want to find in a super hero movie is here.
The Dark Knight may have been the benchmark for super hero movies, but I dare say this meets that benchmark while also setting a new standard for crossovers, and when you have to juggle with so many characters, that is a damn fantastic feat. It's as perfect as a movie of The Avengers can get.
Joss Whedon, I salute you.

9/10. Enjoyable from beginning to end, they played well off each other, and the action was top notch. Heck Hulk was even done right in this one. Easily in my top 5 superhero movies of all times.
I dare DC to ever try to bring together the Justice League and make it work as well as they did with this movie. No seriously I really do. I want to see it :P
This movie was amazing! To me, this suprassed the Dark Knight. There will be people who will hate it for no reason. I guess they were expecting Citizen Kane or something. But this is a must watch in theaters. So excited for Avengers 2 to come. (There will be a sequel)
I was pleasantly surprised by it. I went in not expecting to like it at all, and came out with a huge grin on my face. Easily some of the most fun I've had at the theater in a while.
That said, a few days later and I'm left with no real desire to see it again. It was a lot of fun while it lasted, but that's about it. Frankly, the first 10 minutes of last night's episode of Game of Thrones left more of an impact on me than The Avengers did.
I don't recall seeing Shia Leabouf, that blonde chick, extremely dramatic explosions or morphing cars anywhere. :|The final battle was ripped from Transformers 3, but whatever.

Neither do I.
[QUOTE="Storm_Marine"]No, the Avengers were just a lot better for the most part. Was it just me or did Loki's army suck?

I can't help but doubt Loki's chances of taking over the world. Unless he had nearly infinite numbers.

If he beat the Avengers right there, they wouldn't have been able to stop him without nukes.[QUOTE="Storm_Marine"][QUOTE="BranKetra"] No, the Avengers were just a lot better for the most part.BranKetra

If he beat the Avengers right there, they wouldn't have been able to stop him without nukes.I doubt they could have gotten past the US air force. Then there's a variety of missile options available. I don't think Loki thought things out much.
