all the actor awards were very predictable, but well deserved. Although I still think Steinfeld should have won. (even disregarding my previous statement.)
Social Network has no chance to win best picture now.

[QUOTE="SaintLeonidas"][QUOTE="sammyjenkis898"] Yes. She's that good. If she would have been the upset for that category, I can't say I would have been disappointed. Why Gosling, who gives arguably the best male performance of the year, wasn't nominated just boggles my mind. I highly recommend it.sammyjenkis898Really wish he had been nominated, especially seeing how she was. Same. Same goes for Original Screenplay, but what are you going to do. Everything has been predictable so far.
except for ******* stupid art direction, costume and makeup which were all terrible choices.
Really upsetting that The Social Network barely won a thing..sammyjenkis898Meh, it got what it deserved IMO.
Sad that Inception won more awards than The Social Network :( Very happy to see The King's Speech win :)SaintLeonidasHAHAHA YEESSS!!!

The social network sucked. It was like watching a TV movie of the week. Not worthy of a theatrical release and certainly not worthy of any Oscars.
And Inception was a dumb movie that tried to seem smart. I'm also glad it didn't win anything big.
[QUOTE="sammyjenkis898"]Really upsetting that The Social Network barely won a thing..Niff_T
I agree.
Also, Inception winning best cinematography was truly hilarious.
What is it about a popular Summer blockbuster that makes people so biased against it? Just because it's an action movie, and not a riveting drama, people feel the need to bash on it.
The fact is, Inception is without doubt one of the most innovative movies of all time, like it or not.

The dream world concept has been done and done better.

And why is that funny? If you are one of those people that for some reason didnt like the script, then you should know that best director has little to do with the story.

This has nothing to do with it being popular. This has to do with the fact that the cinematography of Inception was bland and uninspired, especially when compared to the other nominees.

tell me about it...haters hate on anything that is successfull...inception, avatar, call of duty.. Avatar hate was justified. That movie was a tech demo playing over Pocahontas/Dances with Wolves, except done much poorly than the previous two in terms of plot and character progression(which is baffling). Inception was a good movie. I'm not sure it's worthy of a best picture nod considering it was a pretty solid year for movies and there were some glaring omissions, but it's certainly not a bad movie at all.[QUOTE="iloverikku11"]
hey guys, this is the Oscars.
The Social Network = Alice In Wonderland
u mad?

Hold it. All awards are not equal. Alice in Wonderland got 2 awards for looks. :P
I know that, but still it's upsetting.
True Grit was actually the most robbed though. Should have won supporting actress, cinematography, art direction and costume. (Last two are debatable against King's Speech.)

Total Recall and The Matrix off the top of my head.

Inception wasnt about fairies and pixes, the cinemetagraphy was great for the type of dream movie it was.HAHAHA YEESSS!!!

what the **** does that mean? Watch True Grit or Black Swan or Social Network and it would be impossible to say Inception had better shots than any of those films.

Inception wasnt about fairies and pixes, the cinemetagraphy was great for the type of dream movie it was. Not really. The film didn't differentiate itself visually between dreams and reality, the camera work was dodgy, etc. It was a fairly bland looking film. There was nothing exceptional about the cinematography in Inception. Matthew Libatique or Roger Deakins should have won.[QUOTE="SaintLeonidas"]What, what? No idea what you are talking aboot buddy.
