[QUOTE="MFaraz_Hayat"]Thid is why making an image of a Prophet is considered wrong in Islam. It results in pointless arguments plus, if the image is not accurate, it is as though the image-maker is decieving people.MFaraz_Hayat
I hardly think that not having 'pointless arguments' would take priority over freedom of expression.
You are mixing it up. Freedom of expression is one thing and a pointless argument another. You can say what you like about any religion. I cannot stop you and you have your freedom there. But, will someone's argument over the internet actually convince another person? Quite unlikely. Making it pointless, as neither you will accept other party's proof nor they yours (especially in religious matters), making it quite pointless indeed.
Actually, if you were you prove anything to me, I'd quite happily believe it.
Don't assume that I am closed-minded just because you are.
Oh, and another thing - if you don't think that there's any point in it, why post in a religious debate thread in the first place?
My friend, it is you who assumed that I am close-minded. I didnot even use that word. Plus, what I said is practical. Even, if you prove to the follower of a religion that he is wrong, he will not abandon his religion just because of your arguments. He will first investigate the matter himself and then make a conclusion.
Btw, is it not quite obvious that Jesus (P.B.U.H.) image was made much later? So why keep arguing? It might be wrong, but hey who are you to dictate what person is to do?
Plus, I posted because of my freedom of expression. You cannot stop me from posting. Even though I think the argument is pointless, is it not my wish whether I am posting or not? Who are you to actually question me?
 you are closed-minded! You admitted that you'd never accept proof. If that'd not closed-mindedness I don't know what is. And as for the thing about investigating and making a conclusion... that investigation would be on the basis of my arguments, and if he concludes that I am right, then my arguing has caused him, indirectly, to agree with me.
And you are correct about Jesus' image. TC's original argument was wrong. Heh... 'why keep arguing', he says while arguing. Also, this isn't dictating what someone is to do; this argument isn't over what someone should do, it is over what is right.
Heh... are you aware how narcissistic a comment like 'Who are you to actually question me?' is? Especially when it's in the middle of a debate! You can't wander into a debate and then get offended whenever someone attempts to debate with you! If you don't want to be 'questioned', don't post in a debate. Simple as that. "Close-Minded" for not accepting proof from some unknown guy on the internet, trying to bash religion on a gaming forum and who might have copied his arguments from some anti-religious site? Am I wrong?
I said that it was pointless to keep arguing. I say it again. Mere saying of this statement is not an argument, my friend?
And I ask you again, who are you to question me about why I am posting on the forum? You were "attempting" to debate with me by questioning that why I am posting? I donot consider this a debate.....(perhaps you do). Btw, I was not in middle of a Debate with you, at all.
Ah-ah. That's ad hominem; it's a logical fallacy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ad_hominem
And, no, I don't copy my arguments from anti-religious sites. You can verify this by copying them into Google and searching as a phrase. I don't see the point; I enjoy debating, it gets the mind going, whereas copy-pasting does not.
Actually, look back. You said: "Thid [sic] is why making an image of a Prophet is considered wrong in Islam. It results in pointless arguments plus, if the image is not accurate, it is as though the image-maker is decieving people." Which I disagreed with:
"I hardly think that not having 'pointless arguments' would take priority over freedom of expression."
So, you post a comment in the middle of a religious debate, and think that you're immune from your points being attacked? It doesn't work like that. And notice that, in fact, you brought up the issue of whether doing this was pointless, which naturally led me to question why you bother, if you're closed-minded and assume that everyone else is too.
