buddy, look at the bright side, at least you acknowledge each others existence, and are friends with each other. i've liked this girl for about 5 years now, and i have never spoken to her in a while, and we are barely friends. we go out as a group with other friends, but i still don't talk to her...lonewolf604I Don't know how you could bare with that, i stopped going out with some of my friends just because my ex . girlfriend usually are with them and another group....so i only just go out when they are not thinking of bringing up girls and all...
Just move on like you were, and if the time comes when she needs you, be ready.rcignoniJust move on and even if she needs you, don't go back...show her that you could be all you want without her.Don't let your heart control you....control your brain and you'll be in a better direction.
[QUOTE="MrGeezer"]I can't do that though. :( Only way. I have the same problem. But she lives right next to me, but I'm not "in love" but I do deep feelings. You just have to forget about them fully. This thread goes out to the girl you love.
This thread goes out to the girl you've left behind.
She's a simple prop, to occupy your mind.
So stop thinking about her. Much like Hicks said in Aliens, "Forget about her, she's gone!"

Yeah, that is what I'm planning on doing.
it's better to have loved and lost then... well you know the rest.
and it's is actually true. but you won't see that till you move on and actually find someone else. and trust me. there are plenty of fish in the sea.
I know i've lost touch with all my ex's. i'm married now and have no regrets. my previous experiences allowed me to really understand what i wanted from a relationship and find a person (my wife) that matched me better than any of my previous loves.
what you should do depends on what you want if you want to stop loving her I would say that you should surround yourself with people who are not associated with her who also know how to have fun. trust me i have been in this situation before and this at least partially works and its less painfull if you do this.
You're not even 18 yet. You have your whole life ahead of you. Sooner or later you'll find someone else and look back on this and laugh.CuDDKiDDthis.
[QUOTE="GTR2addict"]youre young kiddo, enjoy single life while you can, i like a girl, but im in no rush to get with her , shes one of my best friends and id rather keep ehr as one than a lost girlfriendRikusakiYou always have some of the best advice! Thanks, man! :) youre welcome dude :D
[QUOTE="DJ_Lae"]I was in a similar situation and I used whiskey, and lots of it. It didn't turn out well, so while I can't tell you what to do, I can say not to do what I did.II_Seraphim_II:lol: oh man, this post cracked me up :Pi dont think that was a joke mate...
[QUOTE="IVIadHatter"]Go do some other girls and make her jealous.RikusakiThat's kind of mean!
I laughed. I cried...from laughing so hard. Seriously, she's told you twice that she doesn't love you in the way that you think you love her. Give it up. FragStains:(dude just relax and do somethings to get your mind of it...try dating somone for 4 years whom your madly in love with and then have them eff you over then tell you they dont love you the same way anymore. I know how it feels, its awful.

Worry not, the girl I was dating at your age is nowhere near the woman I'm married to now. Things happen for a reason.Darn... I thought I had it. Now the feelings for her are back and strong.
I feel like showing her how much I love her. Like making something for her.

That does seem applicable to the situation at hand, but I sort of take offense to the implicit suggestion. The implicit suggestion that the only reason that a man would ever really want to be "just friends" with a woman is because he secretly wants to have sex with her. That's sort of offensive on several levels. It implies that men really DON'T really care about friendship. It implies that men are scheming conniving little bastards that you really can't trust. And it implies that if a man is being friendly, that he's probably even MORE of a douchebag than the guy is just openly a huge douchebag. But most importantly, it has the suggestion that a man must be planning something sinister if he in any way falls outside of the "typical male" stereotype. And that's blatantly sexist. As sexist as suggesting that women who want to join the military have a secret agenda to destroy the country. Because WHY would a woman want to serve in the army instead of staying in the kitchen and looking after the house while The Man is out doing REAL work? That's the woman's place. And if a woman wants to violate that kind of natural order by actually wanting to have a CAREER and ****, then she's probably a soviet spy or something. And it's also comparable to the gay agenda". You know, where a gay dude doesn't fit the stereotype of being a sleezy degenerate. The gay dude has an important job, a loving same-sex partner, and all he wants to do is live his life like a normal human being, and get the same rights and privileges as everyone else. He wants visitation rights to be ensured to his "husband" if he ever gets sick, that sort of thing. He wants his 50 year long monogamous relationship to be recognized as being AT LEAST as legitimate as a weekend Las Vegas marriage between a man and a woman. But no...He's actually been MONOGAMOUS. He actually wants to get MARRIED. THAT sure doesn't fit in with the stereotype of the gay man as a promiscuous and deadly social menace. So if he doesn't fit the STEREOTYPE, then he must be part of the GAY AGENDA. Sure, he ACTS like a fine upstanding individual. But every day after waking up, he pulls out a list of "things to do today". And the first thing on that list is "destroy the sanctity of marriage". Yeah, sure that gay guy doesn't fit "The Stereotype". But that's PRECISELY why you can't trust him. If he doesn't fit "The Stereotype", then he is SURELY up to absolutely no good.
Reminds me of back in the early 00s when I used to work at a grocery store. One of our regular customers was this obviously Muslim man who actually sort of beared a superficial resemblance to Osama Bin Laden. He was a regular customer there, one of the nicest men you could ever meet. SERIOUSLY. He always dressed in traditional garments, had the stereotypical turban, long beard, etc. He was probably deeply religious, but he was always nice to EVERYONE. I never saw him get visibly annoyed, he was always openly friendly to everyone who I saw him meet, and I never saw him come off as the LEAST bit judgemental about anyone else's life**** Then 9/11 happened. Shortly after that, I was chatting with another employee when that same dude came into the store. A coworker said something like, "I can't believe he has the audicity to come in here like that after what happened."
I then pointed out to that coworker that that was the EXACT SAME guy who had been a regular at our stores for YEARS. And that he has ALWAYS been one of the nicest, most reasonable, and most pleasant customers to deal with. To which the coworker replied, "yeah, that's what he WANTS us to think."
THAT'S what this cartoon is like.
Is it really THAT hard to believe that a highly traditional Muslim man of middle eastern descent can ACTUALLY be a genuinely nice and pleasant guy?
Is it THAT hard to believe that a woman or a black man (or a black woman) can ACTUALLY just want fair treatment without having any sinister motives being applied to her complaints?
Is it THAT hard to believe that a gay man (or woman) can ACTUALLY just want to be able to get married, without getting paranoid about wacky conspiracy theories about how she's just hiding her REAL agenda to destroy YOUR marriage?
And is it THAT hard to believe that a straight man can ACTUALLY just want to be friends with a woman, and not have any intention of making nefarious plans to eventually have sex with her?
