as a guy that has respected and promoted gay rights for a very long time i can tell you that quite frankly me and my likeminded friends are just about sick of you.

conversations used to be about securing civil rights and protecting people against bigotry and violence are now about wondering when we are going to get a hey i'm into ethnic chicks choking me pride month.

i personally think you have hit a point of diminishing returns on rubbing everyones nose into your sexuality.

homosexuals went from it's nobodys business which we can all agree with to wanting to wear a t-shirt with penetration on the front to their workplace.

just live your lives and give us all a break from your drama please.

we are more than happy to protect your rights but if people are getting sick of you things are not going to get any better.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . As the guy in the video points out, straights talk about their relationships all the time and this is perfectly normal; gays talk about their relationships and they're "rubbing your nose in it." When gays can marry, the drama will stop.

my gf and i have lived together for 10 years and refuse to get married until everyone can.

what i am trying to get across here is that you may be better off trying a different tactic because if i am growing tired of the endless debate you have mos def got some problems.

is it fair that you have to move to a state that recognizes your rights? no, it's not fair but at least there is an option.

hell, i'm tempted to move to one of those states we all know it would be a better place to live.

isnt the point of sex supposed to be for procreation...what romantic relationship has no sex...im sorry...but sex is meant for procreation and homosexual relationships leave procreation out of the picture...im not anti gay...but im tired of everyone having a problem either way with this argument...my point is, scientifically speaking, a homosexual relationship will not further the species...therefore there is really no reason for it...and if one chooses to be in a homosexual relationship, that is their choice, and no one really has the right to be bothered by it, cause...lets face it...their genes wont survive the generation...

Sex is only meant for procreation? Funny, i don't have any kids. Do you pop a baby out of your partner every time you get busy? I doubt it. Should hetero couples who never have children be outlawed then? Let's take away their marriage licenses.

Interesting. So, if an atheist criticizes the Bible because it condemns homosexuality and if an individual who may or may not be an atheist says that the Bible, when interpreted correctly, does not condemn homosexuality, you take issue with the second individual even when he's portraying the Bible in a more positive light. What's wrong with being a smug atheist anyway?

And what exactly makes his understanding "horrible"?

He's arguing against the theology of the stereotypical Christian but that does not equate to Christian theology. In other words, he's right about the supposed Christian understanding of Scripture being wrong but his way of "fixing" it is also wrong.

He also has no understanding of the Old Testament law. As an example, the just punishment for divorce is still death as it has always been. The difference is that we are not capable of punishing a person for that deed as everyone of us have done things worthy of death. If we were to carry out the punishment then none of us would be lift living.

very pathetic, do people actually say those excuses to justify their hate for homosexuales ?!!! animals dun do it !!!! Parts dun fit !!!!! I have never heard that.

I mean, sounds to me like he was making things up, very pathetic excuses to nullify them and to make homosexuality more appealing, and the AIDS things, yes homosexulity increases ur chance of having AIDS, homosexulaity>>> anal sex >>> very high risk not only to contract AIDSand not only AIDS but many other diseases.

imo, if homosexulity is right? then why it's not viewed as right by people? from the creation of humanity homosexuality is condemnded and hated by everyone, just like beinga liar, theft, dishonesty, treason .... etc.

It's something in our blood/soul, it's how we are created to be attracted to the opposite sex, this is how life works, if you are homosexual, then you are doing it wrong.

I dun hate homosexuals, but they are awefully wrong and sick.

omho88
i wouldnt call them "sick", i dont agree with them but im not sure if its genetic or not, i do believe its wrong because one of the main reasons of life is to reproduce, and 2 men together or 2 women together can not do that..which is why i believe its wrong, in my opinion ofcourse

oh look a wonderful self righteous christian to judge all of off topics religious knowledge. man im glad you read the part in the bible where jesus told his followers "you're better than everyone else, make sure to judge other people and tell them they don't know what they're talking about because y'know, you're smarter than them" i think it was in corinthians....

Yeah, I don't think that he presented anti-gay thoughts rationally. Lots of ideas he presented were greatly generalized and over simplified. Even the point that he sees heterosexual as anti-gay makes his arguments greatly skewed.

It's sickness, for a man to be attracted to a man sexually, this is phychological sickness :? ......... Another point I forgot to mention, if homosexulaity is right? why isn't interspecies sex ? or even incest? or even ( put anything here) ......... seeing homosexuality is normal will open the door for all the possibilities to be considered normal !! I will have a blast seeing that man argueing for all kinds of sick fantasies.

You are so wrong, it's not even funny anymore. But I think you can figure out your own mistakes in the post above.

deangallop

Gays aren't treated like blacks were. So what's there to excuse, again? If we're just talking about liking and disliking and not greater issues like DADT or same-sex marriage, then there is absolutely no reason why someone would need an excuse not to like gay people.

If someone dislikes an entire group of people without reason, that's basically the definition of bigotry. If you're okay with that, that's your choice.

I never thought there was anything morally wrong with Homesexuality, I just don't like it. when I see two men holding hands and kissing it makes me cringe. Marriage is for Man and Women. If you want to get married call it something else. Gays shouldn't serve openly in the military, It is unsafe for them Imo. DADT was fine why repeal it?

Though if you want to have **Censored for a better Gamespot** its fine by me, just don't tell me about it.

*Blushs* Is my conservative showing again?

Tetrarch9

I agree, there is no need for military romance in the first place, man or woman really. Just don't get caught I mean really. And as for gay marriage, it's 100% wrong in my opinion.

Even with reasons, disliking gay people in general is bigotry. When you judge people by a trait like orientation or skin color or whatever instead of judging individuals, that is bigotry/prejudice and it is wrong.

No, but sex is over done completely. If you don't want to have a baby don't have sex really. I sometimes think that God put STDs here for a reason. But I doubt it, since it does nothing. And I hate what gays do, not them themselves. I have a gay uncle, cousin, and aunt. I'm fine with it, I treat them like everyone else. And theokoth, what's with all the gay threads? :P

Even with reasons, disliking gay people in general is bigotry. When you judge people by a trait like orientation or skin color or whatever instead of judging inviduals, that is bigotry/prejudice and it is wrong.

airshocker

I can't without getting moderated. (You aren't on the list, though) :'(

So disliking them because you think it's unnatural for a man and another man to be together is bigoted?

Yes.

For instance, what if I hated Christianity (I don't by the way; it's just an example) and thought it was terrible for whatever reason.

Would that jusify disliking Christians in general even though I knew nothing about them as individuals?

In that case, I would be letting my dislike for Christianity shape my opinion of an individual. Which is exactly what a person that dislikes gays would be doing. There is no reason why they have to dislike a gay person simply because they view their orientation as unnatural.

Men and women weren't born with reproduction for nothing. That's the whole point of sex...

dunl12496

So are you against sex that isnt done for the sake of procreation?

No, but sex is over done completely. If you don't want to have a baby don't have sex really. I sometimes think that God put STDs here for a reason. But I doubt it, since it does nothing. And I hate what gays do, not them themselves. I have a gay uncle, cousin, and aunt. I'm fine with it, I treat them like everyone else. And theokoth, what's with all the gay threads? :P

Why not?

If you are so sternly against homosexuality because homosexual sex doesnt lead to procreation then why not extend it to heterosexuals who have sex solely for pleasure?

I dont care if you treat them like everyone else. Should I settle with that? Maybe you think I should but I dont care. Of course I cant force you to change your views but I will call you out on using double standards.

As a straight christian. i'm tired of all the hate towards homosexuals. If you hate people for their sin, you're just as bad, sin is sin. Love the person hate the sin.

It's going to happen regardless. No point in calling them bigots over it. Some people believe a man and a man shouldn't be together. It's their loss if they want to judge every single gay person because of it. So long as it isn't hurting anybody, I don't see the problem.

It seems better to just leave well enough alone.

"hate x" and "call x's entire lifestyle a sin" seems like the same thing to me.

I would be pretty hypocritical if I was against homosexuality.

I'm not about to go out and call them bigots to their face. That would be pointless and inflammatory. But I just don't see why I should not call them what they are in this particular discussion as judging all gays based on that one characteristic is textbook bigotry.

What are they doing that's hurting anybody, though? So Ben doesn't like gays because he thinks it's unnatural. He hasn't hurt anybody, Who gives a s***?

Seriously, what's the point in calling him a bigot?

It's not about anybody being hurt. It's about "bigotry" being a perfect descriptor of that person's mindset. Look at the definition of bigotry, then compare the idea of disliking all gays just because on a notion of being"unatrual", and you'll see that it's a perfect fit. Why should I not use a word that perfecty describes that mindset?

So do you think it's all good if I hate all Christians because I dislike Christianity? Or all conservatives? After all, I'm not hurting anybody.

People that don't like black people are not technically hurting anybody. Is that all good too? Should they not be called bigots? Do you think the term bigot should simply not be used at all?

I just don't understand why you are trying so hard to defend a person that would dislike all gays simply based on them doing something one finds to be unatural. What about unatrualness warrants instant dislike of millions of people? It's not like I'm equating thinking the orientation is unatural to bigtory. I'm equating the disliking of the actual people, which is perfectly reasonable.

I will have a blast seeing that man argueing for all kinds of sick fantasies.omho88

Psychologist stopped categorizing it as an illness decades ago.

Why isn't interspecies sex on the same level as homosexual sex? Well there is informed consent. The same thing that makes pedophilia wrong also works for sex with animals. Last time i checked we were talking about adult humans in terms of homosexual acts. Which are basically the same as heterosexual acts in this context.

LOL, I wasn't expecting instant agreement, but it's cool that we're on the same page on this.
