I don't think that whole belief that everyone will screw until they look the same is ever going to happen, at the current population growth there'll be enough genetic diversity to last as long as we can sustain such a population, there's already enough people on this earth to make sure you don't have to reproduce with someone between your sister and second cousin, plus, you know, science and technology are like the new frontier of our evolution, maybe one day we can genetically design our offspring in a lab. Anyhow, even if we can last on Earth without dying off there's always the Sun losing weight, and grow into a red giant when the lack of gravity can't keep it together, swallowing the earth up in the process, so unless we can master space travel and learn to live and thrive off planet we're all doomed anyways.

...NOT Seriously, human race will eventually be extinct. And that is a certainty of a 99.99%. How so. Our sun will eventually die off. And that, my friend, will be the end of our solar system.

In like three billion years.

If we haven't figured out how to get to another solar system in three billion years, then we deserve to go extinct. :P

Well supposedly the "goldilocks zone" will have shifted away from the Earth's orbit about in about one and a half billion years from now. Although the sun won't enter its Red Giant phase for more than five billion years. After then we would have like another two billion years until the sun stops producing energy.

I find it extremely suspect at our current rate of growth and consumption that man will live for another 10,000 years.

Well, of course humans will eventually die off. There's an upper bound to our remaining lifetime due to the heat death of the universe, but of course we'll probably not last that long anyway.

That is certainly an interesting theory. Too bad it does not make much sense. :P

So today at school my teacher said that in the future, humans will have mixed so much that everyone will look the same. Then, because their isn't much genetic variety, it will be like having babies with a cousin or sister. Then the babies will be deformed and wont be able to reproduce and eventually the population will decrease since hardly any humans are being made and then we will become extinct.

Is this true?

If so, that would suck to be in the last generation of humans.

The more I think about this thread the more stupid it gets.. just because the same race doesn't mean we got the same DNA. no matter what race you are even these days.
