I believe young kids are being cheated out of the cartoon experience you have when growing up, all they have to watch are horrible, unentertaining shows (sry I cant think of any off the top of my head, but next time you watch TV turn to a kids chanell and you'l know what I mean) They never got to experience the golden age of cartoons. I cant imagin how bad the shows will be in 10 years. Anyone agree?/Disagree?

Courage still comes on at like freaking 9:30 or something. That show scared the crap outta me, in a good way.

Who wants remakes? If they still made those shows i'd still watch them now. Mainly because Ghostbusters is awesome, even know that show still kicks ass. And was surprisingly dark for its time with all the "Oh he's been missing for 30 years" and the dude is trapped in his own cartoon strip where he's been tortured by the villian of the cartoon for 30 freaking years...
Thats the epic programming i grew up on. All kids get these days are either Japanese inspired shows Avatar (which in its defense can be quite good), Ben 10, etc, etc or actual Japanese shows (can't name any of them)

You can't think of any? How about Back at the Barnyard? What an awful piece of crap. Horribly unfunny, populated with no-names or C-list celebrities, and CGI that is actually hideous. Disney Channel also sucks, but I'm not going into that. Other cartoons try to be some sort of saga thing and humorous at the same time (Yu-Gi-Oh, Ben 10, Teen Titans, etc.), but end up doing a mediocre job of both, really.
yeah, what is up with today's cartoons? I don't find it entertaining and the fact is that the quality is just so poor. The animations seem so cheap. It's not smooth or fluid at all.
the only cartoon that needs to only be brought back 4 one episode is samurai jack. It just ended so aprubtly and never wrapped up the story. It needs a series finale or something.
And the kids watching these "crappy" cartoons today will say the exact same thing about kids and cartoons in ten years from now. It's just how it works.

Krypto is just awful. Here's a great idea! You know Superman? How about we make a cartoon starring his dog! F'ing awesome! Wait, it sucks? Screw it, put that crap on Cartoon Network, the education system isn't good enough to educate kids to the level they'd have to be to know its utter garbage.

You know what makes a good cartoon? Gratuitous violence! Batman:The Animated Series was awesome and that was easily more violent than the movies. Seriously, throw in some blood and actual death(none of this "he was defeated" crap) and then you'll have a good show.

I disagree, I can look back at some of the really old cartoons like Loony Tunes and Tom and Jerry and still appreciate them. I didn't watch them much as a kid but I still don't think they're bad. These new cartoons have way too much melodrama. Why so much anime-inspiration? None of these shows can match up to Rocko's Modern Life, Courage the Cowardly Dog, or Angry Beavers.
Agreed. Now of days kids (especially my niece and 4 nephews) are stuck watching these terribly crappy cartoons that aren't entertaining at all. I remember back in the day when kids' cartoons were actually quite good.
But with today's standards with cartoons, the only kind of cartoons that really entertain me are more older audience targeted ones (South Park, Family Guy, etc.)
